To be honest it was nice to read one with nuance. This interaction went as well as could be expected. He probably should have left it where it was to begin with. It’s unusual a fluffy doesn’t want help. It’s refreshing to see one that doesn’t just glom adoringly onto the first human that notices it. It’s also refreshing that the human didn’t beat it… even one of the many nasty things the mare did would lead to instant death in most stories.

I feel like maybe only an hour because in one of the videos I’m not sure which one but it shows that the fluffies or fluffy’s can die in just a few hours because they need some sort of affection or company to survive so they die pretty easily so most likely if he was gone any longer then 3 or 4 hours the mare and the foals are probably already dead but I agree that she did need to Learn a lesson because she was being pretty ungrateful when he was helping her and only wanted his help when he left because of how rude she was being.

To an extent the Fluffy is right, she was left in a room with nothing and no way out. Based on the fact that the fluffy has a name Lilly, that could infer that she was ether abandoned or lost from her original owner. Finally, while the professor is right to point out the ingratitude of Lilly, Lilly is still a fluffy and as such her mind is very limited compared to even that of a normal human child. The Professor is show very good educative reasoning in the story so he know he is endangering the Lilly and her babies by leaving them alone in that room and unlike Lilly, he can fully comprehend the dangers he is putting her though.

While i do see what you are getting at, what he said at the end still stands. It's now her problem, not his. He offered to make it his own problem when he first found lily, and she obliged. Yet the moment the hardest times came out of near view, lily retracted. He warned her multiple times not to bite him, he made his intentions clear, explained things she couldn't understand and was patient. As much as i feel bad for the babies, i would have done the same in his positon, maybe given a punch or two to lily as I'm not the most patient or benevolent being.

In terms of ethics, I'd say that the professor was pretty extreme. What would you expect from an unfinished subhuman intelligence bio toy made for little girls, on top of that the babies didn't deserve any of that, they don't even know what's happening.

I think this one is better than all the others because it shows that all you need to do is leave them and they’ll die by themselves maybe one of the foals will fall from the counter top and kill himself or they all just die from dehydration and starvation. Either way he didn’t cause it.

There is a question that always haunts me when fluffys are discussed and that comes down to how do you attribute a fluffys actions between the three things pulling at it's half human half animal child like brain. Is it from the pet programming, Is it from normal inherited instincts, Or is it nurtured into the creature, If it's the first then it's not her fault she is doing as the company compelled If the second then she's acting as any animal would (don't get too handsy with the newborns in front of a new mother animal personal experience) If the third it becomes her fault but also leaves room for explaining, there are very good reasons for anyone to worry when a relatively unknown party touches ones newborn. But she could also be an overreactor who has the personality of a bag of nails. The way different head cannons make these fall on different things makes any judgement call very difficult then add in the fact that since their artificial creation robbed them of nature guiding hand they half to put all this together themselves. All this to say I'm not saying ferals can't be reprehensible little beasts but there is no clear avenue to place true responsibility on them as unlike the humans they are so close to there ability to understand was intentionally handicapped it's like when a two year old full force kicks you it's there fault and at the same time not because there understanding is handicapped by both time and parents. Tldr. Blaming fluffys is kinda impossible past the initial annoyance as they are normally physically incapable of understanding

In my opinion, the professor is in the wrong here. The fluffy mare couldn't understand that he was trying to help her, so she can't be blamed for being scared and lashing out at him. On top of that, the professor left the foals to die with the mare, and even if the mare was in the wrong, the foals wouldn't deserve to be punished for what their mother did.

But the fluffy *did* understand he was only trying to help, she basically said “I don’t need you” her huge ego was making her actually think she could’ve lived without him, it’s only after the professor says how lily will need his help where she regrets
