Billed as the Battle of Brisbane Pacquiao vs Horn was a for the WBO welterweight championship. Horn won the fight by unanimous decision and claimed his first world title in boxing.
Week 4 of the Top Rank on ESPN summer series resumes when Jose Pedraza and Mikkel LesPierre will give it another shot. The junior welterweights will face off in the 10-round main event Thursday, July 2 from the MGM Grand Conference Center-Grand Ballroom. Pedraza-LesPierre was originally scheduled for June 18, but the bout was postponed after LesPierre’s manager tested positive for COVID-19.
The Pedraza vs LesPierre card will air on ESPN and ESPN Deportes beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

The score board reflected the action in the ring caught by the camera showing that Pacquiao wins the fight, yet the decision was very upsettingly biased against sn Asian boxer in an Austrilian ring

Just like Terrance Crawford, Try watching the fight without American commentary and with an open mind. The commentary is extremely bias. Everyone kinda jumped on the Teddy Atlas train. It's an extremely close fight according to the rules of boxing. People who say it's the worst robbery ever. Are complete morons

Manny got an underrated defense for real. The way he pull counter ever attack inside horn had. It as so fast so maybe the judges didn't see it but if you slow it down he was the total counter puncher, landed more and landed it clean.

I watched it live, it was a terrible robbery. Pacquiao had Horn nearly all throughout the match and landing with the most shots. Outside of the review by WBO, numerous Sports analysts reviewed the fight and named Pacquiao as the winner, including Teddy Atlas and Dan Rafael. Also: "In total, 12 of 15 media outlets scored the bout for Pacquiao, 2 of 15 outlets ruled in favor of Horn and 1 scored a draw.[219]". Also notice how the ref didn't really go after Horn for the headbutts and elbows? This event was heavily promoted on international television as including and bringing Australia into the bigger stage of Boxing events. What better way than ruling in the favor of an Australian winning the title? The WBO, the ref, and the judges had the most to gain from this. Except everyone can see this decision was a terrible one, and did no favors in the long run for Australia and mainstream event Boxing. Corruption in boxing is still very much alive and well.

i remember i watched this with my dad, and since i am half filipino, of course pacquiao is our favorite boxer. when we watched the decision at the end that horn won, we were both so confused and mad because neither of us could really see a way that horn won. i mean look at both their faces and the numbers and tell me that horn really won it’s actually crazy how much of a robbery this was

The sanctioning bodies don’t want old men with titles. Look at foreman vs Briggs. Foreman walked him down all night and had him holding on for dear life til the very end yet they gave it to the young power puncher Briggs. Foreman was clearly robbed in broad daylight they were trying to tell foreman to hang them up! They did the same to manny here. Lomachenko found out the same against Haney just a few months ago. Young men have more fights in them and a good source of money down the road. Old men don’t end of story. It’s sad and corrupt but don’t expect it to change

Teddy atlas is very bias. Before the fight even started he talked about horn getting dropped and how he will get dropped and how good pacquiao is and what pacquiao needs to do. Never talks about what horn has to do. If you're a commentator be professional. I think pacquiao won but not as wide as atlas had it. His talking pacquiao up which is very deceiving to the watchers.

I would not go that far. Horn was the aggressor the whole time. When you are not the aggressor, you need to put on a great display of defense such as Sugar Ray Leonard and Money have done. This fight was close. Not one of the biggest robberies.

A loss like this will not in any way tarnish Manny’s reputation, it will only enhance it. Pound for pound, Manny is arguably the greatest fighter of all time. He lost a couple of fights due to dirty decisions (which is part of boxing). But at the end of the day, he is so well liked, respected, revered by many around the world, not only for his fighting ability, but also his outstanding characters - honest, clean and humble, whether in victory or defeat. An absolute all time legend and ambassador of the sport!

Horn a dirty fighter tried to headbutt Manny on so many occasions succeeded on two which causes massive bleeding plus the back of the head punches while Manny is push head down and elbow to manny left back shoulder which causes swelling for a few rounds Horn pure dirty. Manny should have won on the 9th if that was any other ref.

Boxers can now use the head and elbows as offense ? I saw Manny take some excellent head shots and elbow's from Horn throughout the entire fight. Fouls are cheats. And yet still Manny, a gentleman through it all, honestly and without retaliation won the fight. Manny is an amazing man . Amazing.

Manny won this fight. However, I have to admit Horn fought a great fight. He did everything he was supposed to do to try and beat the Pacman. He never let Manny get off a barrage of punches. Good foot work and head movement and countered nicely. But sill, Manny won in my book.
