You should do a draft where your only allowed to pick player with a beard.

Darn it, I was just going to suggest something similar. But rather than only going with beards, I would have suggested having one line with full beards, one with a moustache, one clean shaven and one with either mixed or just a fine stubble.

This is your next draft challenge: You can pick any number at the start but the next pick has to be the opposite. For example, if you pick Matthew Tkachuk first(#19), you have to pick a player that has (#91) like Nazem Kadri. Then the next number can be whatever but the one after that would be the opposite. If you pick let’s say (#88), you would have to pick that number next time

Draft idea, you draft forwards to play defense and defense to play forwards

Seeing as you just failed to reach the playoffs with a really good, how about you do a challenge were you have to succeed in not reaching the playoffs despite having a team that reached the wage cap. Naturally you can't play forwards as defenders and such, it has to be a proper team with players in their right positions and you can't stick the highest rated ones on the 4th line. In other words; spend every penny and still tank.

I feel like you should fire the coach before starting the season every time. That way you’ll get better chemistry off the bat

Should make sure you have an "a" or "a+" rated HC before you draft. It matters quite a bit more than line chemistry.
