Nice! Different from the other content but I think this is a series I'd like to watch... I'm not sure how long it will stay interesting and present you with fresh challenges. Right now it looks like you got a very solid start. Not sure if it ever throws you curve balls or if it just happily keeps puttering along... Anyway, right now looking forward to more of it.

Time really fly. I can't believe i found the game a year or two ago via the trailer and then olayed the steam next fest demo and getting mind blown when i zoomed in and i was controlling my lord.

Man, that looks great! Very excited to pick this up when it's available. One note, though -- it's burgage, not burbage. The root of it being "burg", like Hamburg or burghers. If it was Birbs, that would be a different game ;)

They don't have guns, so it makes sense for men to handle melee combat. I've seen videos investigating what combat roles women would actually be decent at, and contrary to what we often see in games and in movies, most bows are not good weapons for women. Small bows work, but they lack range and penetration. They did find women could use a crossbow quite well though, and encouraged media shift women from bows to crossbows. When fighting in formations, the general consensus seems to be that mixing men and women was problematic, but women could fight effectively in all-women formations. This was seen in places like Scotland. However, historically women were simply more valuable than men, since the population could always be replaced in one generation as long as most of the women survived. Vikings did train everyone to fight, not just the men. I believe this was because they were accustomed to attacks on the town being to kill everyone, not just capture the town. In modern times, I've read that the US military has found that the main limitation of women is not physical strength, since we use guns now, but stamina. They said women have trouble handling the hard marching. However, this same article said that when defending a fixed location, they found no combat variation between men and women. This matches with Israel's higher use of women to guard locations (Israel has mandatory military service for both men and women) and for surveillance.
