Manor Lords has been my most anticipated city builder since I first stumbled across it in 2020 - the medieval city builder with RTS combat elements, and an economic system that integrates the two closely... what more could I ask for? This series will showcase Manor Lords gameplay while highlighting how to play Manor Lords, providing explanations for various mechanics and gameplay systems. If you like city builders, if you like medieval settings, and if you like tactical battles, I think you might like this series.

How you low key slipped in "Now how do the people like dem apples though" made me snort a bit with laughter. A granary full of nothing but ale and meat? Now that's a mans granary...a Manary even!

Great series so far, enjoying every minute of this beautiful game. But there are two oddities: 1. Eisendorf is using applies at his marktstalls to provide food variety, while Adelsball, depsite having a ton of apples get nothing at the stalls. 2. It seems like the market areas need to be smaller but better distributed. The far most houses struggle to get all their stuff. Maybe develop into smaller communities.

I think you need a storehouse that stores LEATHER near the clothing dead zone in Adelsball (where all the level 1 burgage plots with chicken coops are located. (If you remember, they require only leather for clothing.)

Awesome series, always great to see PartyElites take on construction :) Btw, market distribution is dependent on the number of goods you have versus houses, so if you have 20 eggs and 30 houses, only 20 houses will ever get eggs, and it will never change. To distribute to all houses (distance to market doesn't matter) you need to have a production that is at least equal to the number of houses you have.

Awesome new episode. Hovering over the feul/food it says one food and fuel per plot, so I always build the double plots to cut costs while increasing population

I love this series and am happy you are continuing it. Only partway through, but you should really micromanage the farms. Put a third farmhouse and assign certain fields to them. Make sure to fallow the right number of fields because it might be overloading them with too many fields to take care of.

Thank you man. Not sure it's the right niche but if anyone's into very detailed Manorial warfare and society (battle tactics, historical units, agriculture, construction materials, etc.) I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's post-Carolingian Europe/Seingeurial Era playlists: they make the best historical introduction to the period on the platform. Keep up with the amazing work! Love, Jacques

A lot of People had chickens, gees, ducks and produced ale. So it would make sense to shift from one to the other as it isn't posible to get both.

I think you need to buy more sheep for the fallow grounds. It would be interesting if you expand to more territory.

Just a thought on distribution (at 18:15 so not sure if this gets addressed later on.) It looks like there are houses that are getting all clothing items, and then there are houses getting none at all. So does that mean that the market is just distributing all of the clothing at once, working from the houses closest to the market? So then by the time it gets to the houses furtherest away from the market, there's nothing left? In which case it's not enough to have only 50-odd each of each clothing item in the market, you need to have 82 (the Adelsball household count at the time of writing - though not sure if that applies to the tier 3 plots and plots with extra housing) of each thing at all times for the distribution system to work, because the market is giving all five items to each house, not giving linen to one house and leather to another. I'm guessing the food distribution works the same.

Build some big Houses Just behind the church. Those could get Level 3 easy.

I just really think you should start a new play through with the things you learned. There's no real progression here. I watched this from before the release of the early release of this game and I now have a map full of villages. I run at a steady 1 fps at max speed, with 9k people and 2300 sheep in one of those regions (HELP!!) because export stops, but breeding doesn't. I have learned to have 2 graneries and 2 storages per marketplace, per hub of burgage plots. Burgage plots for all of them, man them all. They are the ones at the markets. I have 4 plots of 2 families per, at every farm so I don't have to bother with micro management. Every farm has 8 plots of .3 or .4 rotating with 2 seasons between. And I early harvest half of those in august once they're at 100% to make sure EVERYTHING gets harvested. Then unclick early harvest once we hit september. The regions that have farms have 4 bakeries at level 3 to keep up and supply the villages that don't. The trade regions with iron but no farms have 6 trade hubs, fully stocked, to keep export going (even between regions). 2 household burgage plots only take 1 marketplace supply slot. Just like 1 household burgage plot. Sheep breeding is a HORRIBLE idea which SINKS your framerate. Families with no backyard are FAR more effective at having jobs. Familes with backyards should be unassigned or be artisans. You should build your village accordingly. PAUSE your artisans and jobs when you don't need something or when you do. (berries vs dye, planks vs shields for instance) Eggs and vegetables are the solution to ALL your food problems. They should be prioritized. Assign the closest families manually, it saves ALOT of travel and downtime. Stables need to be filled up or they're useless. Keep a good surpluss of oxen at all times. There's no such thing as idle oxen, your unassigned villagers will use them, whenever they can. I imagine you have learned alot like this decentralized, moonshape village is just a horrible idea and you should just have multiple villages all over the map, at every resource. And all those resources are only being traded at surplusses of 200+ per region. It's really time to start over and just min/max the shit out of everything. Do not start any new marketplaces until the previous ones have been filled up with locals. Do not allow non-locals to build at the new ones (unassign them if you have to). I can go on and on but you can too. And it's not gonna happen here on this first play through.

And I really, really think a playthrough focused on just minmaxing sounds incredibly boring.
