Thanks to you, I avoided a lot of problems. I had tried a new flush valve seal, but the problem wasn't fixed. Seeing your video, the simple statement of putting it it the grove near the top, and then it would spin is what did it. I had it there but not in the proper grove. Been fighting this damn thing for a week! After hearing you say gasket should turn freely when in the groove, went back and checked. Found it wasn’t seated properly. Couple of minutes later, seal turned freely, and issue resolved! Thank you!

Thank you. No one ever said be sure the ring will turn in the groove. I did not have it in quite correctly. Once I made it spin/turn in groove it worked perfectly.. Yay!!

Nice video. I always liked our Mansfield toilet, it worked flawlessly for over 30 years. The only draw back was the huge amount of water it used. Went with American Standard and greatly reduced our water consumption after a remodel.

Toliets randomly running water on occasion is commonly known as "ghost flushing". I fixed my windows thanks to you so I stick around.

Hey there! Thank you- I definitely needed a new gasket here. And I’m certain I’ve got it on correctly. The black gasket below is dissolving to the touch, though, and my toilet is still running a slow trickle into the bowl. Do you have video on that by chance? lol thanks again!

what is the black ring/seal under the red seal we just replaced? It caused my water to turn black too (assuming this is from the black rubber deteriorating). If that happens does that need to be replaced too?

Mine not working what ever I do. Original toilet it’s been 17 years old house no gasket fitting to hold the water. I tried grove area as well gasket tight no matter is the grove section barely fit but not turning even I let fit to that line

Mansfield and Koehler seal looks exactly the same 2$ n 8$ Can I use either.. I have a Koehler toilet
