You could call this a modern version of Backlot Stunt Coaster - I also think the cool pre-launch should be fitted on Ice Breaker and Wave Breaker (I don't believe Pipeline will need it)

I seriously think this is one of the best family coasters ever. It's not crazy intense but it's perfect because it's something absolutely everyone can enjoy. I find it amazing that this is still more intense than probably most family coasters. Thats really good to have. 4 Gs for a family coaster as well as some sharp lateral and ejector pops here and there. Perfect job to Mack Rides.

I love this ride! It doesn't even feel like a family coaster. I think it's more intense than GhostRider. On my 2018 visit, Manta had no line on a Saturday. After exiting, they were opening the gates to let us go right back into the station & ride again, so that we didn't have to make the long walk around. They were doing that again on my 2021 visit. Those marathons were so much fun!

I find GhostRider considerably more intense, but I know you haven't gotten the best rides on it.

I value re-ridability and varying of forces, and I find Manta the most re-riable and the most varied coaster at SWSD. I think that's why I agree with you that this is still my favorite coaster at the park despite it's 'family" nature. There's just something about this ride... idk what it is but I really like it.

Even though it’s a family coaster, I still think it beats out all of the other coasters at the park. Plenty of airtime, super smooth, well-themed, and very re-rideable

This is a beautiful coaster that is routed through walkways and exhibits. Not sure I like it as much as the best of Disney, but it is my favorite coaster at the park by far even though it’s not the most forceful.

I love this ride so much! it really is just pure fun! and I agree its definitely my favorite ride at SWSD. Also the landscaping on this ride is just panominal. I wish emperor did as good a job in that department.

visited on a completely dead day, only stayed in the park for 2/3 of the day, and got 14 laps on manta. Definitely the best family coaster I have ever been on.

I got 10 laps in under an hour in December 2021. I said it that day that this is definitely not a family coaster. It looks like one, but it doesn't ride like one.

I would take Mako and Manta at SWO and I would take Steel Eel and Texas SingRay at SWSA over it, but clearly the best at SWSD.

Do you think this ride could feel redundant once Artic Rescue opens up? They are both family style launch coasters after all.

No, they have different style seats and different layouts. Manta is more about airtime. Arctic Rescue appears to be about turns.

In all honesty call me a spoiled SoCal Roller Coaster Enthusiast but Sea World really needs a nice long modern thrill coaster and there’s so many models I could think of but they need a true airtime focused thrill coaster something like an RMC I-Box hybrid or Raptor or an Intamin Multi-Launch or Hot Racer model if not any of those I could really see a Chance Rides Hyper GTX going here it would do wonders for this park!!!

A better coaster under 30 feet tall? How about the Floridian Manta that has stratle seating and was made by Intamin? I will give you a hint: Its name is too long to pronounce fully.
