Excellent work! It seems like the Manti Temple was an improvement on the Logan Temple as far as interior layout and progression. Do you have the interiors modeled? I would love to see a cutaway like what you did on the Logan 1884 video.

Manti was very similar to Logan. Both temples use the rock walls surrounding the baptistry as a kind of hollow central column that supports the floors above it. Manti reduced the number of steps significantly, and removed some of the warren like staircases that were not absolutely necessary for function. The end result was a simplified design spanning 2 floors instead of 3. (Salt Lake would further refine this design, resulting in the central "baptistry column" being removed completely in favor of traditional load bearing column supports. As for making the interior like I did Logan, That would be problematic for a couple of reasons. First is that the only publicly available floor plan for the temple interior is terribly inaccurate, lacking things that I know are there, but that I can't exactly pinpoint the location for. The second reason is that I have been asked by the Church's Temple historian not to model the interior of any temple layout that is currently in use for security reasons. The current renovation of the Manti Temple is apparently intended to put the rooms back where they already were, just better built. For that reason, even if I had accurate information on the interior, I would be unable to post a model of it. Logan was not an issue, as the current layout bears no relation to the original.

At what point were the tears on the hill removed?

I'm not sure if you are asking about the terraces or the stairs. Terraces were removed in 1906-1907, which is when the west stairway was built. The stairs were then removed in 1940. I have endeavored to produce a timeline on my wiki page for the temple. photogent.com/manti-utah-temple/wiki/

Where did the information come from for the floor plan of the 1888 annex? And for the subsequent additions?

Not knowing the actual floorplan, I modeled the annex exterior, and all subsequent additions on 2 things: 1- images of the original annex and additions, and 2- currently, the north-west corner of the original annex, and the entire west wall of the 1930s expansion, are still in use on the existing annex (still in the original place.) That may change with the upcoming renovation, but for now, you can still locate the original 1888 north-west and south-west corners of the original annex.
