“Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Guru Ram Das” tem um significado simples. “Guru” é sabedoria, é aquilo que transforma qualquer tipo de ignorância em luz. “Gu” é trevas, “ru” é luz. Você começa com uma pequena sabedoria pessoal quando canta “Guru”. Quando repete “Guru”, você expande essa vivência. Então você diz “Wahe Guru”, para ultrapassar o conhecimento consciente e mergulhar no domínio do infinito. Você canta de novo “Guru” e começa a trazer essa sabedoria de volta ao mundo com “Ram Das”, o poder de Deus que se manifesta e vem à sua vida servi-lo. O ciclo se completa quando você diz “Guru” uma última vez. Você retornou ao ponto de partida, mas com os olhos do infinito e o coração do Guru Ram Das.

The mantra Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das Guru has a simple meaning: It is designed to take you on a journey from the personal to the infinite and back again. "Guru" is wisdom; that which transforms any kind of ignorance or block into light. "Gu" is darkness, and "Ru" means light.

I play other renditions of this gurbani by various musicians as part of my Aquarian sadhana regimen. I ultimately turn back to this one: the music has a comforting quality and Mirabai Ceiba's voice is soothing. It makes me feel good.
