Pues es mitad y mitad... Sus padres son de origen español, y por problemas en su país emigraron a Francia donde el creció. Su madre es de Bilbao, País Vasco, España y su padre es de Villalba, Galicia, España. Francia fue el país donde el se crío y creció. Siendo hijo de españoles aprendió a hablar español y también catalán y gallego. Y como vivió en Francia, pues aprendió francés. Así que es un digno representante hispanohablante... Y pues no es latinoamericano en si.

I believe the dvd from Baionarena had some live performances from around the world, it had "Volver" from this concert. It was great inspiration for me in a time where yt was at its infancy and content was not so abundant in the web. Manu Chao has always been an artist believing in sharing lots of material. I remember reading comments in his fan page.
