@@maarten699 They could make ghost mechanics like in other games (e.g. Project Cars). Pitstops are awful in this game, nearly nothing changed since 2010..

I think the same thing, the sudden movement the car makes to get in is ridiculous, it looks like it's walking on a slot rail.

No idea bro, take Assetto Corsa Competizione as an example, the pitstop is completely manual, even when you reach the stop position you have to be precise. Codemasters are capable but lazy 🙃

Did you even watch the video? In the auto one the bot stays still for half a second before applying the throttle.

That's not the point. The point is, even with a 1 tenth faster pit stop, auto pit is still slower than manual pit because on auto, the game holds you there a moment longer.

automatic is when you don't have to activate or desactive pit limiter and also when you automatically restart after the pitstop (when assists are on in fact) while manual is the opposite, when you activate pit limiter+restart manually after the pitstop (all assists off)

Just before the lane of the speed limitation you have to slow down and press the pit limiter button, then it's automatic until you reach your crew, then while the tires are being changed you have to press the clutch, the throttle and when your car finally touches the ground and the light goes green you just release the clutch. Finally, at the end of the pit lane you press again the speed limiter button and you are back into the race!

@@dalitrenzoo ahah it's true that at the beginning it is a bit complex because there is a lot of things to master, but you can start slowly with the helps, you can put the automatic pit stop where you have nothing to do and everything, I m sure you can start the game and learn very fast

If you fast, manual is faster, if not, auto is faster.

Pitstop manual. 20.0 sec, pitstop auto 20.3 sec. So its not about to go in at the same time, but the overall time needed for the pitstop which in manual is 0.3 sec quicker.

Manual it's slightly faster if you know how to to do it properly

If you're just playing for fun and don't care to race in leagues, auto is a guaranteed way to not get penalized. But for anyone wanting to race in a half decent league or try for Esports, you have to learn to drive without assists. I enjoy making it a challenge and not driving with assists. But I know alot of people just dont have the skill or care enough to learn to drive that way.

Have a look on the time the car is standing in the pits. Manual has a faster release. Auto lets u stay longer. The time 2.9 says just, that the engineers needed that mich time to change the tyres.
