@@samnorland6105Sheringham could read the game faster than most players. He would just be where he needed to be before the defender knew what was happening. No wonder he played so long.

Teddy never relied on speed. His game is all tactics and IQ. A smart player. When he played number 10 position behind Klinsmann or Shearer, the football is breathtaking.

yep but sadly Sir Alex went with Van Nistelrooy the next season. Ruud WOULD have been there in the 2000 season in this video but he tore his ACL and the transfer was canceled until the next season. Sheringham knew deep down this was his last season so he was going to make the best of it.

Beckham was so popular it made his footballing underappreciated for what he did. He was a key reason for so many goals from 1996-2003. He broke through in 95 but he just got better each year until he left. He made the most of his skill set and it benefited the team.

I was 7 when I watched bradford city got thrashed 6-0 by united I was there live 5th september 2000. Hard to believe it will be 20 years in 2 months time.

This was United. Should have cherished these days more. The club had a clear identity built in the image of Sir Alex. A lot of that has been lost over the last few years with big money mercenaries. Thankfully the tide seems to be turning with the likes of Rashford and Greenwood coming through. Long way back to the top but we’ll get there 🔴⚫️⚪️
