That's a tough situation, and I don't think she can do anything more than move. I had a situation like this happen in South Eastern VA, where a couple of owners in my condo complex allowed two halfway houses to rent out their units. One was full of clearly emotionally deranged people, and the other had young WWII German wannabe's. When the WWII German wannabe's set their sights on me, they would do some passive-aggressive and some downright overt and aggressive behaviors to let me know how they felt (I'm extraordinarily quiet and keep to myself, btw - lol). I was afraid and started looking over my shoulder, worried for myself and my tween. Eventually, they were moved out to another location. It was scary, and I felt like I had no recourse. Welcome to the South.

As my momma taught me and I truly do believe. "You gotta bring arse to get arse." Don't let anyone intimidate you. I had a literal stalker in college. He was insane. Would pull up on me out of the blue, threatening me. I tapped on his car window one day when he pulled up and told him to roll it down. I leaned in and told him that he'd better hope that he saw me before I saw him. I informed him that I told my cousins that he was messing with me and 5 of them were willing to "come see him." Enough said. He never messed with me again.

Careful calling everything a hate crime or next thing you know you no longer have freedom of speech, expression, and are jailed by whomever gets to decide what constitutes “hate speech”. Basically what they did in parts of Europe. For example have a differing opinion about transitioning children and you may find yourself imprisoned for hate speech. Instead teach and learn how to be able to be mentally strong against people who are offensive and don’t let them get to you. I have been called raciest names and threatened because of my job, I never let them get the best of me nor did I need a safe space or cry closet. The world is not always a nice place, the sooner you learn to deal with it mentally the better.

Hmmm please tell me what we could possibly hang up to try to intimidate a white person… that noose represents a time when black bodies hung from trees for looking at a white person too long. That has never been a white experience in America … however it is still happening in the US. A noose is intimidating for those who have adverse history when it come to it.
