Manx TT Superbike [Model 2] [Arcade] by SEGA - Laxey Coast (2'09"71) [HD] [1080p]

Күн бұрынManx TT Superbike (マンクスTT スーパーバイク) is a 1995 motorcycle racing game, jointly developed by Sega AM3 and AM4, for the Model 2 arcade board. It was later ported to the Saturn.
Normally, a player would control this game by leaning to the left or right while sitting on the cabinet's motorcycle, but with an emulator, that obviously isn't possible. While a gamepad's analog stick will indeed work, the bike's handling is extremely touchy. You can somewhat compensate for this by holding the stick forward when steering. It's not ideal, but it does work.

Man, I used to love playing this version at my local club back home. The machine had a quirk where you could get a credit with only 20 cents. Needless to say, we abused the hell outta that 'til someone fixed it. 😂

This game was on the 2nd floor of the Kashim Club, Elmendorf AFB Alaska. "SEGA MANX TT SUPERBIKE" will forever be burned into my head.

I had this on my Sega Saturn as kid. The way the guy says Manx TT Supah Bike is burned into my memory.

SEGA MANXU TT SUPERBIKU Oh also just noticed the menu voice "please choose manual or automatic transmission" is actually the same voice clip as Daytona USA! Just with the echo and reverb.

How do you have the controls set up in Sega Model2 emulator? The default setup won't let me set accelerator to a button, which would be the best setup. The setup I DO have, the acceleration is not NEARLY fast enough to even keep up with the other bikes.

Pretty sure I have it mapped to right trigger. I don't recall anything unusual about setting up this game.

Remember to map it so it's analog, not digital. Also, keep in mind that the game has rubber band AI. It doesn't matter how well you're doing, the AI will ALWAYS be right on your tail. One mistake and they will pass you.

Thanks for the advice. The issue I'd been having was RIGHT off the bat, for some reason my top speed would only peak at 150 or so, and yes-- I did have the setting to Automatic, so it should have gone way higher. That was why the bikes flew by me right off the bat and I never had a chance to catch up. I played this in MAMEUI64 (169 or higher) and even though it wasn't working right (the other cyclists weren't visible), the default settings let me reach the top speed and I made 3rd place.

MT will generally yield a higher top speed than AT in a lot of Sega racing games. May want to try it. You really don't need to shift much in Manx.
