I saw you express surprise at banking done at post offices a couple of times. That's not a Farming Simulator thing of just borrowing the post office model. In much of Europe the post office has also long functioned as a bank of sorts; instead of using cheques, one used to just go to the post office to send a giro transfer to another giro account holder (and pretty much everyone had one, so one could pay most bills that way, and benefits also often came via giro). I don't know how this has changed now what with electronic payment systems becoming ubiquitous, but it was immensely common and popular in the Netherlands and Germany when I lived there, and I hardly ever visited a bank or wrote a cheque. It worked similar to how a debit card works now; the payee must have the funds available for the giro transfer, while a cheque carries no such guarantee for the payer.
