This has been the first real year where he 100% isn't earning that 11, before he was a point per game center with a winning faceoff %, lots of value in that, but this year he has been slower and produced a lot less. @@sean2015false. I was at the game tonight and it was my first playoff game. The fans were INCREDIBLY loud during pregame all the way up until the third goal. We all watched it fall apart but have been a part of this script many times before… our team didn’t show up and beat themselves. Don’t blame it on the fans. We were optimistic but got the ending we knew we were due for.

The coaching hasn't adjusted and the players are playing like they want to get traded.

Why blame Keefe, who happens to be one of the best coaches in the league. The real one to blame is the GM...he had all year to replace the antique defence and goaltending. How many defensemen do we have that is under 30 years of age. Most of our defense should be retired. For several years the leafs have gone after backup goalies...Freddie Anderson, Jack Campbell, and Ilya Samsonov. They were back up goalies for a reason. Primarily because all those teams had goalies better than the backups they gave us.

If he's one of the best, how come he can't get by the first round for 8 years, I realize they beat Tampa last year, but they were lucky, Tampa outplayed them. Keefe is finished as coach and though Marner and his millions should be dealt in the summer, not sure if any team would want a player who is afraid of his own shadow in the playoffs. Tavares will stay no matter what he loves being Toronto's captain and will never waive his no move contract. Toronto will stay among the top teams during the regular season yet stagnant come playoff time. I've been a die hard Leafs fan since the days of Paul Henderson, I'll still be cheering instead of booing them, but for better playoff success, lots of changes need to be made.

There is almost 400 people in the Toronto area for each seat in the Arena. There are many outside of that area that will make the trip in to see a game. There are people who will travel long distances to see a game (especially a playoff one) There is a waiting list to become a season ticket holder.. There will always be someone to take the place of anyone who decides to boycott. I’ve been a fan for over 40 years. I’ve been to 4 games. One was a playoff game in 2002 and I paid $280 then, that was 22 years ago. I could get from my couch to a seat in the arena, without going outside because of the subway system attached to my building, in 15 to 20 minutes. Super easy and I’m a huge fan and I have money but I’ve only been to 4 games and I haven’t been to one in over 10 years. Ive wanted to see a collective empty arena protest but it will never happen.

Take away those two goals against on bad defensive plays makes this a 1-1 game.
