They should have themed to Tatooine like the original plan. I can’t be immersed in a gift shop you made up in some comic, but I can be in a place I saw Luke and Anakin grow up

But at least it gives Star Wars Stalwarts a chance to be part of the story

@@RatchetHCO I'm fine with the planet. I think it's a good location. I just think it should be original teilogy themed instead of the garbage sequels.

i just went there for vacation and it looks big on a map but there's honestly not much there that i honestly think they should take down toon town and extend star wars land there because they got two rides, two places where you can 1. build a lightsaber and 2. a droid. then there's a couple eating spots and shops but that's it nothing imressive

@@JP-ks7ey toon town is getting completely refreshed with a brand new major E ticket so I doubt that will ever happen

I finally was able to go to Disney World this summer, and wow the Peoplemover is great. It really is so relaxing

Hopefully they will bring it back when they renovate Tomorrowland! There is always WDW for now.

I stood in line for rocket rods as a kid, but never rode it. It broke down all the time. I wish I got a chance to experience it.

@@suaveclt I was 2 when the rocket rods opened and 4 when they closed. I remember seeing them look fast as a small child but never rode it. They came and went so fast, it seemed like a blur. I never got to see the peoplemover or rocket jets though; those both closed before I was born.

@@Jonathanest90s physically sure ?? thematically ? no . if star wars land was meant to be in the magic kingdom park it would be there . not in hollywood studios . its a major imbalance for disneyland that space couldve gone to something that couldve provided a more diverse set of attractions the way adventure land offers jungle cruise , indiana jones , tarzan , etc but all we got were two more star wars themed rides in a very empty and boring environment when a futuristic themed land already exists in the park and it already offered plenty of authentic star wars experiences 😭

@@1TSS0FLVFFY I totally agree, a nice thing about Disney is that the lands are pretty vague but the individual rides are specific. This kinda throws the pattern out the window and I agree they should have just added the Star Wars rides to Tomorrowland! But it's here to stay so it's fine...I guess 😆

The original concept actually maked sense, as Galaxy's Edge was supposed to be next to Tomorrowland probably where Autopia sits, but since they were afraid of closing a opening day attraction and saw that it might not be enough space they went with the former Big Thunder Ranch chunk of land they had before.. Personally I would've prefer if they went with the original concept as honestly I don't care for Autopia, even less the current state the ride is (I tried it out once again this summer on my Disneyland trip and I still stand by it) and it would've been a good theme transition from a Futuristic Sci-Fi land to a full-on Star Wars land, like seriously, it would've been right there next to Launch Bay

@@lonelysatoshi2482 discovery bay is what original suppose to be built where big thunder ranch was and where star wars land now currently resides , discovery bay is what should have been built star wars already existed in tomorrowland

Thank you for the feedback. I've currently been doing 3 seconds per map for consistency with the previous maps I've made, and thought the music was a fun accompaniment 😀 When viewing the video, you can adjust the playback speed under settings if that's any help 😀

@@thedistorychannel I agree with Rebecca, the text should be larger. While there is some merit to being consistent, you also should give up things that don't work as well. This video is good for people that already know exactly what to look for but it would be better if you had a voice over, or at least arrows or something highlighting more of what had changed. I am VERY interested in this video as a concept.

@@emilygrae Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, the text is at the biggest size possible to fit on the image but not obscure the map. I might play around with the arrow idea to see if that works 😀

Thank you, I did not realise there was an Indian Village they you could actually visit in the early days of Disneyland, I thought it was just the village you can see from the Mark Twain 😀

You're looking at the 2022 map. It came back updated in 2023 and I've got a 2023 updated Disneyland Map video up on the channel 😀
