Mapping History in Houston’s Third Ward

8 жыл бұрынStudents and Faculty from The University of Houston School of Art and the UH School of Architecture and Design collaborated with community leaders in Houston’s historic 3rd Ward neighborhood in a project that highlighted the neighborhoods rich past. In the project, called "Animating History," students created large, teardrop shaped “pins” and stationed them on vacant lots where landmarks once stood.

Dexter Manley who played football for the Washington Redskins was raised approx..2blks from Emancipation park also M.Ali recorded portions of his movie at PABA boxing gym 1 block away from the park also Lighting Hopkins would regularly hang out nearby with friends , that's just to name a few. Yes their is BIG history in the Dirty 3rd.
