It is real. It is an anglicized name from eastern Europe. I was told it means great king, from the Latin "rex" for king and the German superlative "Schoen". I did not have fun with the name in middle school, but now appreciate it.

@@dseti Interesting. Tbh what sparked my curiosity is a dream I had. I often (not nightly but weekly or biweekly on average) have dreams that feel more real than real life. And in part of this dream, I went through a tunnel in the ground and ended up in these cave systems and heard _____ wants to ask you some questions. And it sounded a lot like your last name. Clearly, I'm the one asking all the questions here 😂. Edit to say: I just feel like I needed to inquire further
