Diego forgot to mention that in the quarterfinal of that world cup (1966). England faced Argentina with a german referee (Rudolf Kreitlein). It wasnt halftime and the referee already have shown 3 yellow cards and 1 red to the argentinian side. They ended up winning (robbing) 1-0 with a late goal in second half. Also in another quarterfinal game, Germany played Uruguay with an english as a referee (Jim Finney) and surprise surprise, the same M.O. 2 red cards and 2 yellow for the southamericans and Germany went on to win 4-0. We could say that is something of past times but the last incident with Denmark and the VAR in the Euro happened jsut weeks ago. We can all agree that the english have always been th biggest hypocrites in the game. I dont understand how they´ve got the nerve to accuse anyone of cheating.

As an England fan, Diego was pure genius, one of a kind. Butcher was a legend for England but it's all sour grapes about the hand of God goal. His second goal was iconic, Diego was a virtuoso and dragged his team to glory. Rather than moan about the hand of God goal, those England players should be more disappointed they didn't hack Diego down so he couldn't run half the pitch and scored that goal. Diego was levels above those England players despite his shenanigans, and that's why he won the WC and was the best player in the world at that time!

The only thing the English defenders were trying to do was foul him. Each and every single one of them. 1. First one stamps on the top of foot (the worst place), full studs, chasing persistently Maradona’s foot. No where near the ball. 2. A team of my country played once in England with FC Liverpool, or Manchester United, not sure, this has place in UK. The night before the game, my country team was thrown out of the hotel, because of a "fire alarm". There was no fire... they just did that in the middle of the night to our team, to stress them, to get them tired before the game. The younger football fans should also read about FC Liverpool - Juventus Torino 1985 incidents.... That's English football world. I dont feel sorry for the "Hand of the God". They deserved it....
