Maradona vs Platini The Last Dance is a nostalgic highlights video of the very last time two of football's greatest ever players faced off against each other. The occasion was Michel Platini's farewell match, played in Nancy, France on the 23rd May 1988. A celebratory event attended by Diego Maradona, Pele, Zico, Lothar Matthaus, Hugo Sanchez, Enzo Francescoli, Jean Tigana amongst many other greats of the game, this match was a fitting tribute to a player that went down as arguably France's greatest ever player, scoring over 350 goals in less than 700 matches despite being more of an attacking midfielder/number 10 than a conventional striker (Zinedine Zidane in comparison scored just over 150 goals in 800 matches).
