1)In one concert illayaraja stopped the event and requested the fans to sit as per the amount paid, 2)in other event he even scolded the person for drinking water in stage by covering some sight of concert 3)in recent concert he asked the organisers to stop smoking effect in stage as it will affect the persons having problem with it you may scold him rude etc,but truth is he knows the person paying money is the owner and we must respect and ensure the full comfort of them and justify his payment ! Thats the difference between him and others

I don't get the point wherein everybody is saying not to host any big events in Chennai sighting infrastructure issues, but anirudh's concert happened smoothly at the same ECR last year. Yuvan and harris' concerts were also held smoothly at YMCA/Nehru stadium without any issues. There was a concert at YMCA 3 days back as well. Instead of blaming the even mgmt. company, it is easier to blame the infrastructure as it is a bigger problem. Also, every year, IPL is hosted at Chepauk stadium with 30 to 40k attendees for every match, and no one has ever faced a consequence there either. Blame those who are reponsible for this chaotic experience (ACTC) who made a blunder rather than the infrastructure, which is a bigger issue that can't be settled all of a sudden.

Chennai does not have a proper multi-purpose stadium as far I know. In Malaysia, Bukit Jalil stadium is big football stadium and also can be used for concert and events. If selling the tickets for 20,000 people, there should be at least free shuttle bus from different location to sent off the people to the concert area. That location also should have 4 to 6 entrance and exit points with good number of parking facility.

ItisPrashanth, This is not about whether AR Rahman is a patriot or a scammer etc, few people in social media will always talk nonsense, that's not the point here at all. I am a die hard AR Rahman fan, I have also attended his concert long back and he performed in the rain . But here are a few genuine questions 1. Was tax, gst paid? People may say this is BJP question or RSS etc, but reality is if you pay income tax then you will know no of people who are coming, its not rocket science and from whatever we are seeing it seems clear that that was never paid 2. Was proper police permission sought? The organizer says it was for 25000 and over 45000 tickets were sold, what was intelligence doing. This whole fiasco would have been avoided had the spineless Tamilnadu Intelligence actually stopped this program saying this reason, but they didn't ? why? then it does raise a question of corrupt officials. SO who gave the bribe? probably the organizer, then why is AR Rahman associating himself with such people 3. Organizer also openly accepts he never got permission for 45000 people, so why is no action being taken against him? 4.Once all of this happened, Rahman was still performing, like I am not sure if he never knew these things were happening, he should have stopped the program. I find it hard to believe he didn't know a single thing that was happening in front of him, I feel Rahman was told by organizers to continue and they will take care of situation, so again why is he associating with these people who seem to be scamming people and had a failed event in Coimbatore already 5. Organizer also claims he gave 25k Rs tickets and 50k Rs tickets as complimentary passes, I have not come across a single public member who actually said they got it for free, so he probably sold it to corporate and again evading tax. I feel Rahman should not join with such organizers and not keep his concert again in the same venue. Its also very sad to see Rahman not even saying he apologizes and instead talking about infrastructure etc of chennai. Rahman basically was born here, did he not know this before this concert? I do accept we need better infrastructure etc, but that's not the problem here. Rahman seems to be caught among some scamsters, I hope he distances himself from them soon PS: The most shameful thing is all cine actors and people like Prashanth are coming in support of AR Rahman , but no one seems to care about the affected public 25k or 50k maybe peanuts for these celebrities, but its almost one month salary for lots of people, even 500Rs can be hard for lot of people. Also none of you will every question the TN govt and intelligence who have just watched this situation unfold.

Though people are putting their effort into protecting ARR, I do not agree. Considering that there were problems created by the same ACTC in the Coimbatore concert, ARR should have paid more attention to ensure his fans were treated properly this time. This care was completely ignored by ARR which is not correct. Also, as per everyone's opinion in media, additional tickets were voluntarily sold by the event organizer or event organizer knew about this extra ticket sales. ARR should have monitored ticket sales to avoid this mess I fully agree with you on the involvement of police in this concert. Police became parking security guards here.
