Danny you need to get away from Yankello. He doesn’t know how to coach amateur boxing. He’s focused on professional boxing. In amateur it’s ones and twos, pivot and ones and twos.

For some people but styles make fights trying to make a fighter box a certain way instead of using his strengths to his advantage and working on his weaknesses is crazy there's plenty great amateur boxers that got to the pros and got spanked because they didn't learn it while coming up

@@robertmarshall3735 I’ve trained for 35 years with 15 state and national champions. This has nothing to do with styles. Amateur boxing is not professional different use case entirely

@@itguru2037 No offense OG but so was Ryan Garcia Ugas Keith Thurman alot of guys whos "amateur" style and bad habits costed them in the pros I have a pro style and some judges don't like it but when they catch all those punches in the pros with no headgear it'll make sense

@@robertmarshall3735 truth. And nowadays amateurs don’t have to have a big resume to go professional. If you’re not trying to go to the Olympic Games then a few years in the amateurs will be fine. The issue comes then with promotion

That's alright Danny, you did great when you your opponent running out of gas,stab the jabs to the belly to push more wind out of him you did a great job fighting this guy you learn as you box.

You won with the jab and cross. Good basic boxing. Danny coach teaching him to box like a pro fighter and that’s not good

Why is that not good how you fight in the amateur translates to the pros look at Ryan now he has to rework on his fundamentals styles make fights there's no perfect style

@@robertmarshall3735 regardless, the pace in pros is too slow, and 1 example is not how you judge a topic. Danny's style is costing him in the amateurs, such a style needs at least 6 rounds to be effective, amateur boxing is very high pace.

@robertmarshall3735 it's true in most cases, however with a good coach they know exactly what the judges want to see. In the amatures it's high volume. It's 3×2 or 3×3 in all actuality you only get 10 minutes max to win. To set a pattern for traps and other high-level strategies you need at least 3-4 rounds. If you watch all pro boxers pre 2016 their amature style and pro style are different. Great example Floyd, he was extremely aggressive in am and in the early pro but then saved his brain and actually boxed "hit and not get hit" is name of the game.
