i used to despise these kind of comments, just because you like someone doesn't mean that person's suit for president. but now yes marc maron sounds like a way better option than the current one

round pinkish face I agree but it was honestly just a joke about the president thing. When I say "Celebrity X for president" I'm just goofing around and I assume others who say that are doing the same. I figure it's been a running joke for about a century now to say that about a well known figure who most likely wouldn't make a great president. It just means you like the person a bunch.

Fair enough. Maybe I just miss the days of more comedy related episodes. He is right to try different directions I guess. For instance, the Lorde episode. By no means I was a fan of her but yeah that conversation was surprisingly interesting. I don't care for politicians though. They always made me feel more like a push than a visit. Don't have a problem with political guests, just not politicians. As for Manson/Cooper, I'm more of a metal guy than a rock guy (the opposite of Marc) and also empirically speaking I don't have high expectation for rock stars to have interesting conversations (they all have interesting stories but they're usually not in the business of making them come to life). I know Manson is a different kind of rock star so I'll be sure to check that episode. :)
