In 1979 at the Hideaway bar in Clearwater Florida we played this song. I had a big floor monitor in front of me and the stage area was floor level with the dance floor. I played bass and sang. I was using a Shure SM57 straight mic. At the beginning of the song, where the vocals crescendos to high pitch, I used a falsetto to get that and to also send a signal to the Echoplex back at the sound board to keep it going. I buried that 57 to my throat and a drunk woman on the dance floor tripped over my monitor and rammed that 57 down my throat ripping up my throat. Bleeding badly they rushed me to the hospital where they stitched part of it back together. Never forget that song, that pain and that woman... who was our guitar players girlfriend.

Come on , those crowds out there, please give a dollar or two each at least. I saw those people just threw a few coins while others just watched and enjoyed the show. This guy was superb in performing the Highwayy star song.

This took place in Germany, a euro is worth a bit more than a dollar. Euros start at 5 in bills, one or two are still coins. Also this is not the only performance that happend that day, there are a lot more during the day by several artists in different places in the city. There where others performing just a few steps away from him as well, would be expensive to give money to every single one.

Absolutely true bro! Leipzig is a very nice place. Unfortunately for buskers is not so easy there because of crazy rules of the city to discourage performers.

I love the performance. He's a very good guitarist. I think though that the crowd could have donated a little more than just coins. He's putting on a show that they seem to be enjoying so they could have been a little more appreciative.

@@MarcelloCalabrese-guitar Nobody ever acknowledges a tiny pile of rocks on the NE edge of the Atlantic *Marcello* that you could carpet in an afternoon but the *British* musicians actually wrote most of the music you play. You do us & our music proud & are an amazing guitarist but I just find it immensely disappointing in looking at a 1000 uploads from 1000 British bands that no one *EVER* props the UK for it's musical contribution!
