phil jackson I’m so glad you brought up Kobe Phil bc I was thinking of him throughout the clip as well in that this is a classic lesson in why MJ was 1 on 1 far superior... because of his three years with the Dean Smith system. Perhaps you could compare Kobe’s first three yrs in the league versus MJs UNC years and find similar numbers to support that they were at similar levels but you’re right, MJs IQ by way of having Scottie command the offense (and Pip taking the reins in ‘94) is why MJ was able to stay at that level in the later years. In Kobe’s case, it was always all about him and took a far greater toll on his body well before he hit mid 30s. This Bulls team was so special and likely won’t see the likes of it ever again
