Everything about this show is 10/10. The plot, the characters, the animation, the way it approaches problems, it is nothing like any other anime I have ever watched. This anime is undoubtedly a masterpiece. It's not just 'good', it's the best it can ever get. Umino Chica is such a mature writer. Honey and Clover is also great but 3 Gatsu no Lion is really the masterpiece of all animes.

Fun fact: the storyboard for the first opening was made by Umino Chica (the author). In the manga there some sketch and her working process on the opening

I always get the chills when they show Hina in school uniform alone in OP3 because I know what they are hitting and it's just so emotional to any 3-gatsu viewer.

This show didn't seem like much at first, but spectacularly done. These OPs/EDs too are such a great accompaniment as well. 1st OP/ED is from BUMP of CHICKEN, and I always love most of their work. That emotion from the song translates really well into the show.

2 ED was made by one of the biggest J-Pop singer,Kenshi Yonezu. He made a lot of hit song with a lot of views. He also made MHA 2nd OP,Uchiage Hanabi anime movie ED and Children of the Sea ED. His lyrics writing makes the song even better.

I really love all the ops and endings in this anime, in particularly the first and third. They literally show character growth between the beginning of the first season ti the beginning of the second where one depicts a depressed, drowning boy, devoid of color and struggling to move as the water drags him back. The other is literally the opposite as we see one clearly determined to catch what he’s chasing, climbing over obstacles, running on top of the water with a visually colorful view. Definitely the best ops I’ve ever seen in really any material

Yaaaay 3-gatsu no Lion let's gooooo! I took my time watching the first season and I'm so glad because the characters are amazing, I really like the first ending and the visuals of the second op, still need to watch season 2 :3 thanks for the reaction! Also: you were thinking about Kenshi Yonezu, the guy that sings Peace Sign for MHA is the one from the second ed :)

It's really cool that the first ed is actually a tribute/collaborative piece bump of chicken wrote and performed because they are massive fans of the manga and the manga author is an equally big fan of bump of chickens music. The song and its music video even predates the anime by 2 years P.S. does he know odd future is the name of the op uverworld did for MHA not the name of the band or am I misunderstanding what he's trying to say? 10:15

i recomment u check out Ballroom e youkoso's openings and endings. tho you cant find the right versions on youtube(the ones that are there have a different voice) so you're gonna have to look up the whole episode and then watch the songs from there. its openings were made by the same band that did op 4 of march comes in like a lion. hope you react to it :)

This show is so amazing. I empathise with the main character so strongly, as well as the messages from the show. Its kinda cheesy to say an anime had a profound impact on your life but this is that kind of show.

Probably in the minority, but I lowkey liked s1 better tbh. I was waaaayyy more interested in the kyouko/rei/family conflict/dynamic and plot progression, than the bullying stuff they spent the first half of s2 on.
