Man, what a special talent and piece Bam is. Such a high motor, very high IQ, always seems to be in the right spots. Such a presence on the defensive end and there’s really no way to attack him because he can guard 1-5. Offensively he sets good screens and knows when to roll or pop. And on a missed shot he’s going for the offensive board. Such a key piece to have on a basketball team. Now he’s a 2x NBA All star. Such a great talent.

Funny thing is, highlights in his 3rd year are the blocks and assists. And what you don't see here is the shutdown defense in the post and the perimeter.

The cats would’ve won it all if they didn’t have so many late game scoring droughts. Look at all these games and late in the game they go 2,3,4 minutes without answering their opponents scores. They were leading by 7 with 2 minutes to go against North Carolina and got out scored 8 to 0 in the final minutes

Everytime Whiteside gets a minor injury, the bench looks like there's no depth behind him. Willie Reed is good, but not super physical. Haslem is done and let's not mention McRoberts. This kid is a good backup for Whiteside who plays the Heat way; hungry with energy especially on defense, and should give us some Bismack Biyombo at the Raptors type minutes. A stretch 4 is nice only if they also play defense with aggression. Otherwise, they'd be the current Channing Frye not getting any important minutes because of suspect defense.

Bam in my opinion was a bit like Cliff Alexander,he was overrated out of high school due to his athleticism and he kind of underachieved in college.Not his fault necessarily but I don't really see him thriving in the NBA either.

Clearly Riley doesn't know how to draft the Heat need a stretch 4 or 3 to play the perimeter away from Whiteside. Why would you draft a big that can only play on the block and clog the lane right on top of Whiteside? smdh

Reed is not guaranteed to come back. we have no back up center. Bam can play both PF/C. We do not want another situation like what happened in Toronto in the playoffs where Whiteside is injured or fouls out and our paint is exposed. Reed opted out looking for more $$, Bam arguably can be the better player on a cheaper contract allowing us to sign a nice F/a.
