March of the Drozdovsky Regiment - "Марш Дроздовского полка"

March of the Russian White Guard Drozdovsky Regiment, written by Colonel Pyotr Batorin to the tune of the March of Siberian Riflemen (1915). The lyrics of the march are devoted to the legendary campaign of volunteers led by Drozdovskij on the Iasi-Don route, from the Romanian front to the theater of operations of the Civil War. Later the popular melody of this march would become a basis for the Soviet partisan song "Through valleys and over hills" and a number of other musical compositions.

Шёлъ Дроздовскій славный полкъ,
Во спасеніе народа
Исполняя тяжкій долгъ.
Много онъ ночей безсонныхъ
И лишеній выносилъ,
Но героевъ закалённыхъ
Путь далекій не страшилъ!
Генералъ Дроздовскій смѣло
Шёлъ съ полкомъ своимъ вперёдъ.
Какъ герой, онъ вѣрилъ твёрдо,

Sadly, not everyone in White Ay fought for the crown. There were many libertarians, who are believed to kill faithful servant of God an Tsar general Drozdovski. But the saddest thing is that vast majority of people (officers and nobles), who could fight for Holy Rus just fled. Instead in Drozdovski regiment were full companies of youngsters fourteen-sixteen years old. Я верю, что мы, русские, должны извлечь из этого урок.

I would have thought that, nonetheless, they would serve our purposes, but the situation regarding the physical removal of General Drozdovski, which you've just informed me of, made me think that it, probably, isn't as simple as, previously, thought - There is, undoubtably, in such situations, the risk of friendly fire. And indeed, it is quite revolting that many of those who could have fought for one of the last Christian and Traditionalist Empires in the world fled their motherland, instead of standing by it, in its time of peril. And, if you're referring to Russia's current situation, in your last sentence, that situation is one I think is deeply sad, since I firmly stand against brother wars between White European brothers - I hope peace can befall both Russia and Ukraine, as soon as possible, with God's Grace, and I'm sure you're of the same opinion, my brother in Christ. My liking for Russia is special, among the Nations of Europe, particularly because my life's biggest love was directed at a girl from over there... She was the only one to love me back, also. I hope, with all of my heart, that she's all right, nowadays. We still converse, but that's about one, two, at max, times a month. Anyway, I wish you a nice start of your week, in any case, pal.

Glory? Communism? Same sentence? Only possible if used like this “You will gain glory through the destruction of Communism” Russia died under Communism. Genocide, police state, mass starvation…
