Marcia got a taste of her own medicine "Something suddenly came up." Yeah like a bump on your nose. Mr. Hot Shot can't take out a girl with a bump on her nose! All his teammates would mock him for that. When Charlie saw it he still wanted to go out with her. He was 10 times the man Doug was.

Fun Fact: before this episode was filmed Maureen was in a minor traffic accident where she hit her nose on the steering wheel and it really did swell up like that! I'm not sure if it was just a weird coincidence or if the accident inspired this episode

The funny part is that you can clearly see the ball hits Maricia's left shoulder and not her nose. Great job of selling the scene by the actress though.

If you watch at 2:02 when she is flashing back and the ball hits her 3 times it's actually three separate takes and not the same time repeated. While the third time misses her face completely and hits her shoulder the first two times definitely hits her face. Legend has it that it was Sherwood Schwartz himself who was just off camera on the left gently tossing the ball at her. She wasn't hurt

@@kellyb3211 It's a bummer to have to make up tests. Once (and only once!) I skipped school and the next day my math teacher told me I had to stay after school the next day to make up the test. Who wants to do that rather than just take the test during class like everyone else?
