Marcus King stopped by the Guitar World studio recently to show us six of the riffs that inspired him the most, and tells the story of playing with Gary Rossington at his last show with Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I used to play Saturday Night Special before I went to Pole Vault in 1975! A great motivator! I was undefeated that year! High school yeehaw!

That moment when he was soloing w/Gary and Gary straight up gave Marcus a lil bow...like "respect to you young man". Saturday night special has always just ripped. I always thought it was such a perfect use of guitars.

I had a guitar teacher who gave me Give It Up (Or Turn It Loose) as a time keeping exercise. It was priceless and I still use it today to try to maintain time and feel!

Marcus is the perfect example of a true musician. Not only is he an exceptional player, he can freaking sing beautifully. Also, one of the best live shows I’ve seen in recent times. Great mix of classic and not the generic boring blues that are overdone, he mixes it up into his own sound.

Ronnie Van Zant and a few of the other guys in Skynyrd were heavily influenced by Free (the band). Songs like Saturday Night Special, Cheatin' Woman and On The Hunt its easy to hear the influence. The whole Nuthin' Fancy sounds like they were listening to alot of Free at the time. Great album.

Try some prozac bro. I'm no expert but the I've known prozac to help ppl with Manic Depression. A person can experience psychosis due to Mania. Ill step out on a limb and say not good to be using drugs. If a man can obey the commandments and rip on the guitar and have a fine woman and a good dog hes got it made. Awesome playing and tone.

Bush- and states fighting over the federal supply of ventilators. People were hoarding toilet paper because Trump couldn’t keep the supply lines up. During that time our economy was equally to Europe. Now our economy is double theirs. Do you like the Euro a lot or something?
