The thing that makes Mbappe so incredibly dangerous isn’t necessarily his skill (which is obviously still a big part of it) but that feeling of dread and impending doom everybody feels whenever he is on the pitch. He can score goals out of nowhere and you can never feel safe and secure when he is on the pitch.

Key distinction is Mbappe already has that aura of inevitability that rashford is just developing this season. And that is down to poor/inconsistent coaching like a lad said down there i.e playing under too many managers with different styles. But both are top stars. Mbappe is just ahead for now.

Both of them are stronger, same style/type of playing, good shot, good dribbling, hard workers, but Mbappe is still better, somehow he is special. I'm French and i like Mbappe. The only thing that makes me nervous is all the people who gets angry when other people say Kylian isn't the best in terms of pure technique and his main strength is his speed. They understand that as "he has no technic" which is different statement! Despite me being French, i always prefered Rashford because i think he is technically more gifted than Mbappe and i always thought the day Marcus reach his physical maturity he will then be in the debates for ballon d'or (ballon d'or level) and maybe become better than Mbappe in my eyes, because pure technic is the most important thing when i judge players. I rate both but Rashy is my baller.. Nevertheless, if it wasn't for poor coaching Rashy would have already been a world-class player.. He would have already surpassed this stage in his development, because he's now being developed, for he wasn't before.. If Rashy was under the wings of a manager like Ten Hag when he burst on the scene, he would have already become an elite footballer, competing for the ballon d'or..
