This music just makes me close my eyes and drift myself into a trance, slowly feeling the wind with the smell of salty water, the sound of waves, and the gentle rocking of a tiny ship - I could imagine the wonderful scenery throughout the track (maybe because I’m studying film haha). Such a wonderful journey and beautiful track as always, thank you so much.

last week I had a dream and it was so realistic. I even heard this song as if I'd listened to the original So I went ahead and tried to capture the magic that I experienced in that dream :) hope you enjoy :D (when you read in just the right tempo, you can even lign it up to the song) When I heard that, I wasn’t sure if that was even a viable option for me. I excused myself, but instead of staying inside the house, I started running. I ran and ran until I reached the seashore. The waves and dark clouds perfectly mirrored my own emotional state. Would that ever be an option for me? Or did instead my life and my inner self prepare something completely different for me? I felt the cool breeze on my skin, how it blew away my hair and dress so they fluttered behind me. I felt the sand between my toes, somewhere between warm from the afternoon sun and cold from the sea that was now washing up on shore. In my head I heard a mixture of different exotic instruments. On the one hand they sounded disorganized and a bit messy, but on the other hand it sounded like every one of those instruments tried to calm me down, each in their own way. The waves foamed in front of me and I thought about my life, how it should go on from this point onwards. If I decided to go for the first option, I’d have a safe future, but couldn’t be sure if I’d be happy with this decision for the rest of my life. I’ve spent my whole life preparing myself to take this road, only knew this image that I had of myself. I’ve worked my whole life to get to this point, had only known this version of myself; why would I throw that away? The second option would be completely unfamiliar terrain to me, completely unnoticed until just recently. When this idea popped into my head a year ago, I didn’t know how to deal with it… Was it possible…? Could it be that this was the road I had to take? If I was lucky, I’d end up happier than if I chose the first option. But what if it wasn’t this way? Still I knew deep inside me, it downright screamed at me, that this was the way to go, that I just had to choose this direction and jump in at the deep end. Commit to it, leave all troubles behind, and face all those fears that grew inside me over the past year… But to do so, I’d have to leave my whole past life behind, would I be strong enough? Or would I break apart trying to change my whole self? So I stood there by the seashore thinking about the future, how everything should go on. Fittingly, at the prospect of future happiness, the sun fought her way through the dark clouds, but then I thought about everything that this decision would entail. No matter what option I’d choose, with both there was the possibility to find bliss but also to become desperately unhappy. As I tried to bring order into the chaos that was my mind and became increasingly restless, the sea also became rougher and rougher. But not just the sea, also the melody in my head became louder and stronger, as if it tried to dominate over the noise of the sea and of my own thoughts. But there was something else, a voice that sang along in harmony to the instruments. Only when the music was so loud that it drowned out everything else, I realized that my own voice was caught up in the melody, too, and I sang as loud as I could, fighting against the waves. My mind, my voice, and the world all around me found a single melody. As if suddenly everything was obvious, I became one with the melody and let it fly right through me and all around me. I forgot all my worries and lived just for this moment. It seemed to be so short, yet like an eternity in my hands. I held onto it, was one with the melody. I drifted along and it was as if I could control the waves with my voice. When I sang even louder and higher, the waves slammed into each other, splashing water high into the air, drenching me and everything around us in this cold seawater, but I didn’t even feel its iciness. The sea was one with me and I was one with the sea, as if the same heart beat inside us. The sea no longer only flowed around my feet, but instead my soul and my whole self. I felt like a completely different person, not like somebody that just got their life dealt out by the world, but like somebody that painted their own world with the melodies and colors that defined who they are as a person. From this point on I would take my happiness into my own hands, because only I could really do so. When I had sung all my sorrows from my soul, I let go of the melody, it had fulfilled its purpose. The waves calmed down and the clouds opened wide. The sun burst through them and filled me with her warm light. I experienced the world around me with new colors, as if the melody had purified everything. I knew exactly what I had to do. thank you for reading :) If you find any weird passages or words that don't quite fit, please let me know :) I am not a native speaker, but I am happy to learn! And Marcus, thank you for your amazing work, you inspire me every day anew!
