There's a story being told through that Cello. It speaks of loyalty and love. It's words i may not comprehend, but its feelings i understood. A gallant wish it is. Or so i would like to think.

"Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them." Octavia was the very first song that I have heard from the brony fandom and from you, I remember the simplicity and the feeling of it, it was magnificent. Thank you for reimagining a brilliantly made song, and thank you for the artistic brilliance that you have shared to all of us and I cant wait to see more but for now, take a break you earned it

Gonna be honest, at first, I thought nothing could out-do your first rendition of this. Then I listened to the new one, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. The Cello sounds so smooth and organic in this one, and although I still love the old bridge, I’ve come to love the new one even more. Suffice to say... I guess I’m just blown away just how much you’ve refined your craft, to the point where the stuff I thought was the pinnacle of your career is looking like a mere foothill before the mountain. Thanks again Marcus. I’ll be listening to this one until I see fit to cease. (Which won’t be for a long while.)

@@GrandMoffJosephI know it's kind of the "go-to" Audio-Technica, but it's a black-and-blue M50x (weirdly enough, the special edition was cheaper than the standard black at the time). A little treble and bass-heavy at times, but that's what the equalizer's for; it flattens the majority of the sound signature to give a nice neutral sound, since that's what I'm used to from my old cans. I was considering the Sennheiser HD line, but the need for an amp to give them enough juice made me hold off. I might look into them in the future.

Miss Octavia Melody stands tall at center stage, the eyes and ears of Canterlot's sold out Grand Opera House trained solely on her - all of them waiting with baited breath for that first note to jump from her cello. Silence reigns a moment longer, and just when the anticipation reaches its peak, she lifts the bow and places it to the strings. The performance begins. The first notes flow out like slow rolling waves. It is a familiar beginning; a bit of nostalgia to warm the heart and reawaken an old bond with the audience. But then the piece changes about thirty seconds in, and for the next five minutes the gates of audio heaven open up to the world. It is new, yet still familiar. Enhanced in the most wondrous of ways, yet it demands to be heard, to be reveled in. And revel they do. Every creature sits stunned by the beauty of it all. Every high rings like the bells of Elysium, every low a sonorous clap of thunder. Hearts race, emotions soar, imaginations become utterly lost in the most gorgeous of trances as this lone mare wraps their very souls around her hoof one glorious note at a time. Her svelte but demure black dress sways with her slight movements, causing her silken mane to flow around her as if caught in a gentle spring breeze. Her deep mulberry eyes gain an almost ephemeral glow in the stage light, as if the music she was creating was a magic all its own. Even the princesses, witnesses to art and music from across the ages, sit as still as Canterlot Mountain itself, every fiber of their beings thoroughly taken by the mare before them. The last notes roll through the air, and for a few precious moments, all is silent. Then the entire room erupts in thunderous applause. Flowers and hats fly up onto the stage, an ultimate show of respect and gratitude for such a magnificent performance. "Beautiful beyond words!" cry the local papers the next day. "More angelic than even the song of the Eternal Herd," scream the critics, even the stingiest of whom are left with nothing but effusive praise for the performance they just witnessed. Yet for Octavia Melody, Trottingham native, first chair cellist, and musical prodigy turned living legend, it is simply another performance well done. And with the new dawn, she will take up her bow once more and begin crafting her next masterpiece.

I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt, but wtf are you on about? the two pieces sound nothing alike, both are in different keys, and in different time signatures. Not a single bit of the melody is the same either, so I have no clue where on earth you got this assumption from. Not to mention that this song is a reorchestrated piece that Marcus Warner had done 9 years ago (check description), and the song you mentioned was released 7 years ago. Next time, do proper research before making wild accusations to a super talented artist bud :/
