indeed he's a great riff master, but to me maybe he isn't really loved because of the Oriental/Death Tone of it's riffs and especially the ones of the 1995-2004 era, with the pinacle of his Oriental stuff being "La Grande Dance Macabre", you just hear "Ars Moriendi" and you get it all

@@bernabefernandeztouceda7315 i have play guitar over 20 years. Answer is yes. They use lot of phyrigian and locorian modes riffs. Not straight to music theory, but they mixed them very well. For example Dark funeral use lot of Minor triads and alternative Minor/7 chords to sound very unique and they use lot of harmonic Minor scale for they melodies. Sure you heard lot of dyad's and diminished too. Very easy If you know phyrigian,locorian,Minor and diminished chords and scales

I like them too, but for me there are many better bands from Sweden-of the most famous that are Watain and Dark Funeral. Then melodic blackened death of Dissection, Unanimated, Dawn, Necrophobic, Mork Gruning And finally Shining, which music is fantastic. Sweden really is one of the best countries for metal, especially extreme metal like black, death, doom From Entombed, Grave, Dismember, Carnage, Desultory, At the Gates, In Flames, Unleashed, Dark Tranquillity Then doom-gothic metal of Katatonia, Tiamat.. Germany, England, USA are better in heavy metal, thrash metal, speed metal but even US death metal can't reach swedish standards. Not to forgot almighty Quorthon and his Bathory, he was the role-model of all second wave of black metal!

@@hvitekristesdod Germans definitely have great thrash metal scene-bands like Sodom, Kreator, Destruction that just like Celtic Frost, Bathory, Venom influenced second wave of black metal, many classic great heavy metal bands too like Accept, Scorpions, Running Wild, Helloween. And UK NWOBHM influenced all of future metal genres-bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Diamond Head, Venom. I mean Europe definitely gave birth to metal genre with the loudest rock bands, who were called hard or heavy rock, most of them english too like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Motorhead
