The distance to the main resort varies widely based on what house you are assigned. It can be a 3 - 15 minute walk. You can request a closer house but this is not guaranteed. You can however drive from your house and park at the main hotel area if you will have a car.

I visited in 2021 so things were slightly different with housekeeping due to COVID. However, all we had to do for cleaning was to empty the trash before we left. I would treat the cottage well during your stay and make sure to do any clean up that they ask of you when you leave and you shouldn't have an issue.
