Magnifica interpretación, posiblemente la máxima versión de Norma, desde su estreno mismo. Su musicalidad, su arte dramático y su inigualable voz dotan de vida el personaje... creando una atmósfera de misticismo, belleza y melancolía... Mi vision preferida de Norma, y de este aria en particular... solo Maria Callas "La Divina"

Of ALL the performances I've heard of Maria singing this, this one is my favorite. Unfortunately I don't own it on LP. And listening to a digitally compressed file through the web is a compromise but it's still very appreciated.

Ahora si que como en los antiguos tiempos en que era 'fan' de la CIENCIA ficcion,... eres REAL o eres una 'maquina',.... si eres REAL creo que comprenderas la belleza de la voz intrumental-soprano de la Maria Callas,.... grandiosas interpretaciones!,.... si eres una maquina,... es una PENA!,... como quiera que seas,... Casta Diva - Toti Dal Monte in compair with Callas in the same aria. please hear and think objectiv, there is a very great difference ! Toti Dal Monte, Amelitta Galli Curci, Patti, Galvani(Mother of Callas), etc. this Divas where the greatest Primadonnas in ALL times. Callas was only one of the best in HER own short time !

Why insist they do not know music, with the idea that the recording of 1961 is better than others. It is a big lie that Callas sang better at that time because he had lived most personal experiences. That has nothing to do with art, IGNORANT! The voice in 1954 is better and his performance is sublime. In 1961 Callas was completely estranged from her art for a lot of nonsense in his personal life.
