This year, ARTJOG is happy to participate in presenting something special; a theater performance by Papermoon Puppet Theater (Indonesia) and Polyglot Theatre (Australia) for the 2-8 years old children (and their companions). Cerita Anak (Child’s Story) will be performed for the first time in Indonesia.
Inspired by an old tale from Lasem, this theater without words would put the audience at the center of the stage and cast them as the ship passengers in an adventure of sailing the wilderness of the sea, wobbling by the waves, diving and listening to a tale that drowned in the bottom of the sea. A performance involving an unforgettable visual and physical experience.
This show is presented in Yogyakarta by Papermoon Puppet Theatre, Polyglot Theatre, Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja and ARTJOG, and supported by DI. Yogyakarta Department of Culture, Australia-Indonesian Institute, Australia Council for the Arts, Creative Victoria, and the City of Melbourne.
