I think that's a testament to Mariah's authenticity as a musician, because she doesn't feel connected and genuine singing a song that she know she didnt write that's why she prefers to write her own songs. Still to this day never understood why this wasn't a massive hit, especially in America and attached to a film too. Around the early 2010s Mariah released a few singles which sadly made no impact on the major charts but I feel are some of her best work starting with Triumphant then Infinity, the brilliant Art Of Letting Go and then Almost Home. Love this video too. The dramatic black and white, Mariah looking fabulous.
