I've always loved this song but now it hits different after losing my dad in 2020.. I got to attend a Boyz ll Men Concert (with Mary J. Blige, Montell Jordan, TLC) in Oakland in the mid 90s. Boyz II Men was one of my favorite artists and my dad got me and my cousin tickets.

Érika J I'm hoping it won't pass it. It's an ok song, but no where close to as good of a song as One Sweet Day. It's easier for a song to have a long run at #1 now compared to the 80's and 90's cause most of the music today is a bunch of crap by talentless hacks, so even a pretty good song can have a long run. Bruno is one of the more talented artists, but Uptown Funk is just a rip off of so many 80's funk songs. Mostly from Doo Wah Ditty by Roger Troutman and Zapp. Good, but not even a little bit original.

sbka boss True and agreed but I think it's going to pass because it's number 1 on Billboard Radio Songs as well and it's over played daily and I'm tired of it lol. It's hard to find original and different music today, since the music industry is falling apart with the digital world and no one cares enough to make a bunch of work worth to buy, and the problem with the thing that you can easy download free music, what people didn't have back in the day.

#FACTS Old Town Road became the longest #1 bc of tons of remixes plus listening to the song is seamlessly easy via spotify (we can't even say that the streamers are listening or just casually playing any song) During the time of 'One Sweet Day', people had to go to stores and buy the CD or request it to be played on radios. It didn't have any remixes

His longest reigning number ones were Billie Jean and Black or White which were 7 weeks each. He was still miles better. Same with lil Nas and Mariah. +Mariah Carey Fan I've been to a Whitney concert as wel as a Mariah concert. I liked Mariah more. Reason is that Whitneys concert felt cold while Mariah concert really felt warm. Mariah also makes everery live version different and is not a studioclone. I like Mariah live better than Whitney.
