Hey guys, you have actually reacted to this song before 😂😂 (the Tokyo Dome version). But I'm not complaining.

I can tell you what they've said and written over the years. From Mariah - this guy promised to make all her dreams come true and really worked with her to make that happen. He offered a lot of support and had her back. Once she "made it" she saw him as a knight in shining armor. According to his autobiography - He thought Mariah liked him and could "get her". His therapist told him that would be an abuse of power because of his position, but as old as he was he probably couldn't "get her" anyway. His ego was bruised, so he asked her out. They dated and a few months later, he got his promotion at the label. Instead of being just her manager, he was now one of her bosses, and in charge of the funding at the label. The story - He immediately isolated her and called all the shots. Mariah was between a rock and a hard place because now her boyfriend was her boss. He was doing the most, but if she broke up with him then her ex would be in charge of her career. She wanted him to be less psycho and he claimed he'd be calmer if they got married because that would prove her loyalty. Mariah wasn't interested in dating anyone else anyway and she believed he loved her at least, so she thought if it would make the relationship easier, why not? He didn't get less psycho.

This is my favorite MC song of all time. I have about 15 songs that are my almost favorites as well.

Look. Well I do believe that she liked him but she was also being groomed into a life totally different from what she was experiencing prior. He was also very controlling and she felt like she lost herself. She was indeed heartbroken after the breakup but it was all the other negative things that would come with the divorce.. aka him hating her and trying to ruin her life. I don't believe she was in love but I believe she thought she was at the time. Very short-lived romance though..
