And the "I'm with someone new" line she's referring to Luis Miguel which is her boyfriend at that time and the line "'Cause the next song I hear is the song I wrote" she's talking about The Roof from the butterfly album and Mariah Carey and Derek Jeter they met in September 11, 1996 maybe during the Giorgio Armani store opening in New York city
