Who’s here after Free Guy!? What an incredible movie. Ryan stated this song was an integral part in the entire movies conception and production. He tried writing the movie to a different song and when Fantasy came on his playlist he said he knew it was meant to be the “engine” of the movie. Mariah you are a legend!

Mariah's whole Daydream album concept is so clever. She was basically trapped in a toxic marriage/business environment and as you go through the album, it basically takes you through her daydream. She wakes up in "daydream interlude"/"looking in" at the end, but in Fantasy, she's at the beginning of her awakening. The instrumentals in all of the song are eerie too. She's a genius.

This song came out in fall 1995 and in December 1995 I had to be hospitalized at age 3 for a blood disorder. The girl next to me on the pediatric unit in the room next to me was a 16-year-old leukemia patient who would always play this song. I was only 3 so I didn’t know about music. I remember one day I was rushed to another room and after that day I never saw the girl again and the music stopped. I learned she had died and they needed to rush me out. This song reminds me of her

Rainah maybe they used a green screen effect for that scene as it was moving slow and there will be no way she would look that good as her hair would be blown by the wind and she it would be hard for her to lip-synch as her blood would go down her feet when feeling the movement of the roller coaster, making her either screaming or have a semi straight face!

@@Some_One_One ODB was the rapper Old Dirty Bastard from the Wutang Club. He passed away a few years ago. She also wrote and produced the alternative rock album Someone’s Ugly Daughter for which one of her friends recorded the lead vocals and they gave the band a fake name ‘Chick’.

@@scotts3409 it’s sampled. The Genius of love beat is there and she uses the “im in heaven” part in the bridge but the lyrics are new, the intro is new, the chorus is new. The production is quite different. She definitely gave new life to that song. Mariah’s vocals are a LOT more sophisticated. It’s not like you go from Genius of love to Fantasy with zero effort.

Kalio Misa Let me explain... In the film 'Rush hour' (Starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker) there is about to be a staged organised plan to kidnap the Chinese consulates daughter during heavy traffic (Rush hour). While there is heavy traffic she's sat in the back of a Mercedes singing 'Fantasy' with two bodyguard occupants looking a little fed up because she can't sing to save her life. The staged plan goes ahead, the Mercedes is suddenly diverted by villains pretending to be legitimate Policemen, after being diverted, the two bodyguards are stopped by a staged Policeman (Main movie villain) and then they are both shot to death and the daughter is then kidnapped. The actual scene might be on KZfaq if you search for it.

😂😂😂 in 1997 i was a sophomore in high school. A pretty girl comes up to me in the school hall and says "my friend wants you to listen to this song. Let me know tomorrow if you like it. Got home from school and put my sony cd walkman on and yea sure did like this song. Came back to school saw her and told her i wanted to meet her friend . Come to know she left that day to a different school . Never saw her again 😂. I knew who she was i saw her in the hall way but i was talking to another girl at the time😂😂. I was scrolling thru and reminded me of that day. God bless her where ever she is. Mariah back then was incredible.
