I think Marie receives so much unfair hate from people who either somehow feel offended by the idea of cleaning or misunderstand her method. (Ex: She never says you have to get rid of anything you love, or only own a certain number.) She is so positive and polite, and her mindset of feeling gratefulness and love for everything you own has been really healthy for me. If you don't like her sorting/organization method, then just don't do it. I don't understand why people feel so threatened by her.

As a language teacher I would like to give claps to Ashley . Marie has said in various interviews that she is learning English. I thought the interviewer did a very nice job of speaking clearly, enunciating, paying attention to Marie and her interpreter and just in general, was very thoughtful. Not everyone does well with an interviewer. They often forget to leave time for translation or have trouble not focusing on both people instead of just one. It's actually slightly more complicated than people would think. It takes twice as long to get through questions, and a bit more patience to wait for replies and so on (something that people may realize, since it is usually edited out often through the power of video magic). Anyway, Ashley thank you. Your kindness Sparked Joy for me.

The translator is Marie’s friend, this is her job, we should simply be grateful that Marie has a translator that knows and understands her personally.

What I want to say as a Japanese is that she is an independent Japanese and there is no need to force her to speak English. Americans hate reading subtitles. But Marie is not a convenient pet for American viewers.

Why people hating on her cuteness act? I find it very refreshing for an adult. I prefer her than to meet with gloomy, pretentious adult who knows everything and can't admit they are wrong.

Buzzfeed nifty treated Marie very well! I’ve seen talkshow hosts recently who most likely don’t understand that she doesn’t get sarcasm and treat her not very well. This was wonderful!

This is one of the best interactions I've seen with Marie. So many hosts talk over her to self-promote and to highlight their jokes. Even though this is normal for comedians it makes the interview seem like a waste of time. This episode highlighted Marie and her personality. Well done!
