We have expanded on Bill’s organic permaculture concept with environmental protection as our priority. Mariefields has been developed in conjunction with the existing permaculture infrastructure by
-expanding organic food forests
-growing organic market gardens
-mariefields bee apiary in our manuka honey plantation
-orchards of pomegranates, mangoes and olives
-creation of wildlife corridors
-expanding dams for migrating birds
-developing bird sanctuary islands
-protecting native forests
-planting native grasses and native trees
-controlling introduced weeds and trees
-fencing rainforest riparian zones along the creeks to keep cattle out
-planting 4400 koala food trees in our designated koala forest
We have created a strong environmental ecosystem in conjunction with organic food forests and free-range organic cattle & poultry breeding.
