Hats off to that KOVEA tent, it stood up very well. Mari, always use all the guy lines when pitching your tent, make them as long as possible, that way you won’t have to go outside in the storm to fix them. Safe travels, best wishes from Scotland.

I'm guessing that it was marking "low" on power?. And the white color bread that you were eating miss, with the "chocolate" filling? What do you call it?

And just before the first pouring of it? What is "the meaning" of placing the glass cup top side up? Only two recommendations that I can think of for getting a tent more secure in winds like that. 1. Bring a sandbag for each and every tent stake. Tie the bag to the top of the tent stake and put it on top of the stake itself. 2. Use large dog tie outs rather than tent stakes. The kind that are large metal spirals and screw into the ground. Screw them as far into the ground as possible. Using a wooden pole or wooden branch makes it easier. They’re much less likely than tent stakes to be pulled out of the ground from high winds. Remember that these are designed to hold the pull of large dogs.

That’s one thing I saw another channel do when they encountered unexpected high winds. They filled up several bags with gravel from the lot itself and put them down directly on top of the tent pegs. They also can be used to help with keeping winds, water, and rain from getting under the edges of the tent especially when the tent doesn’t have a built in floor.

Hi Mari I'm Jim. I live in Texas, USA. Near Austin, the capital. I moved here from Houston a few years ago to be closer to my 2 daughters and their kids. I love my grandkids and they love me. Everyone gets along great..;) Anywho....I've been single for 10 years running a business and moved here to have fun...I love to camp, swim and fish. I fish a lot with my grandkids and they are getting pretty good! Just felt funny about going camping by myself, but, after watching you do it, it inspired me to try!! I would like to take my kids, but I have to learn how first....:) You are amazing, a great cook and totally fearless...:) so proud of you!!! I enjoy watching you set up camp and you still take time to have a cocktail... I laugh out loud and say.. You Go Girl..!! Just watched the last episode with the inflatable tent from Hell.. LOL.. I watched the end when you climbed the 13,000 ft mountain and ate an orange !! I thought you were climbing the mountain to throw that damn inflatable tent off the top...LOL I didn't laugh when you said you fell, but I laughed the rest of the show.... you are one tough woman..!!!! This was excellent. When you tent did not have a problem in those heavy winds it said many things. First you set it up properly, sell anchored and in the correct angle to the wind. Second it is a quality tent as poorly made ones can fail in bad weather. There are times when your cooking is great but the items you use are not ones I would normally eat. Today I changed my mind on that, if it is cooked fresh, I would give it a try. You also have woodworking skills, sadly I do not. I joined your other channel and will watch this week. Your adventures are away from the family but a little different each week. You are the first thing I look for Sunday mornings when I wake even BC (before coffee), while I may not finish watching till later it is on my Sunday to do list. Have a wonderful week.

Hi mari, Great journey you have taken us on to explore what beauty south korea has to offer. The live chat was lively today . That campsite was beautiful with unobstructed views and scary so close to the edge of the mountain drop . That wind was brutal and unforgiving. i believe you mentioned during the livestream that it was part of typhoon🌀 going thru. I see you were struggling with tent in the wind. I'm glad you weren't injured or hurt in the wind so close the edge of mountain.😢 The kimchi pancakes and makgeolli 😋🤤👍 I am currently under weather fighting off a lingering cold🤒😷. So watching mari camping video made my day more brighter😎☀️, and i am happy to live and view thru your perspective on a solo camping journey. Hi Mari, Not a good time for camping in a tent, I think those extra ropes on the sides should be pegged down as well to stop the wind blowing the frame, I might be wrong as you have been putting up tents more than me. Please stay safe there and may be sleep in the car in those conditions.

I saw the wind was very strong and you continued your camping 👏👏👏👍. Your tent can survive nights with strong winds and rain and this makes your tent highly recommended. Using an air mattress with your tent space is very suitable so that camping can feel comfortable. you are very good at cooking. do you like spicy food or not? Thank you for giving us a nice vlog.

I like spicy food. However, if I eat very spicy food, my stomach hurts all day the next day. I like it but my stomach can't take it😅

바람이 강하긴 해도 텐트 밖으로 보이는 풍경들은 역시 강원도😊 못보던 램프 같은데 예쁜데요. 국화향 나는 동국이 한 병 다 비우시고도 45도 짜리를 스트레이트로..😅젊은 간은 다른데요^^ 알코올에 젖었음에도 잠을 못 이루신 거 보면 밤새 바람 땜에 얼마나 심란했을지.. 캠핑장 오르내리는 도로도 S자 커브가 만만찮아 보이던데 바람 부는 날 고생하셨어요.

구름 사이로 빛줄기는 예술이었으나... 정말 강풍은 캠핑의 주적인듯 싶어요 ㅠㅠ 그래도 무사히 캠핑 마무리되어 다행입니다~ 이제 날도 많이 추워지고 하니 차박을 볼수 있으려나요? ^^ 건강 유의하시구 즐거운 한주 되세요!

마리님 텐트 제가 가지고 있는텐트와 비슷한 텐트인거같은데 혼자서도 잘치시네요 이텐트는 강풍에 정말 조심해야하는데 전~강풍에 텐트폴대 다부로져서 올수리 맡긴적있어서 바람에 플라이도 날아가 분실~^^~혼자 자립시키시는거 보고 대단하시다는 생각 들었답니다 영상잘볼게요~❤

Please stay safe and use your guy lines next time you camp in high winds. They do help with the wind shear and stabilize your tent. But you made it through like a champ, as always. 🥰🥰🥰

Hey beautiful Mari! It was a bit adventurous night, no? If I was your husband, I'd be worried sick about you that night. Nights like this it's better to sleep in the car. It is a long way downhill to catch the tent if the wind plucks it off. I am glad it turned out well in the end - you will catch up with your sleep at home. Keep safe and stay healthy and beautiful!
