Seriously so many pop artists now and before copying his style. If they only knew how heavily persecuted and the backlash he received from government group and conservative groups of the world during his high eras. Agreed. Now many would go with a narrative that Marylin Manson incite Eugenes (school shooters, emos and suicidal thoughts, edgelord syndrome) But during the Columbine Incident interview (when he popped out nobodies) He was one of the few that called out that the issues was mental health. No one took the time to talk to them and most likely ignore the signs. But of course, just like Michael Jackson, Metalica, ect, the Mainstream Media have to smudge them with their poison. Venom Snake: "Yeah, don't blame yourself, blame me."

There are a lot of little things buried in the songs that can only be heard at certain frequency. Play this album on a high end surround system, and you'll see why parent groups were scared of this album. Like nine inch nails broken album there are so many layers of music,noises,whispers,moans in this album that you could spend a lot of time trying to hear them all. Reznor says no matter how many times you e heard the broken album ,you'll likely never hear everything that's mixed into the album.

I believe more than anything this song speaks of love and sacfrafice. I think the song depicts two people, not any two definable individuals but rather the idea of two people in love. whether that be mother and father, child and parent or siblings. Just the simple idea of love between two people. The song symbolises the pain of loving someone. We sacrafice so much of ourselves for the people we love. We give them our time, our thoughts and our soul. But like countless relationships we can describe, we always end up being hurt by these people we love so much, the people we give up so much for. I think this is what he means by tourniquet. We all act as tourniquets for somebody. We all give meaning to other peoples lives, a fullfillment, a reason to live. But in doing so we allow ourselves to become a victim to these people. " Make your victim my head " Make your problems mine, cry on my shoulder and shed your tears so that I may wipe them away. I will be their for you, I will be your tourniquet in whatever fashion you need it. In the song he describes a person. A delicate unfinished person, who in all their flaws and simplicity, bring so much complication and pain to our lives. We love them and care for them in every way possible and yet despite our sacrafices and struggles they still do not understand what we have given up for them, they do not " belive in [us] " And even before our eyes, despite all we have done for them, we can see their pain, and sorrow. We can see them " spoil" But that is the way of life. No matter what we do and how much we try we cannot decide for the people we love. They will always live their own lives as they see fit. We can guide them but " flies will lay their eggs. "

I was laying on the floor of a shitty apartment. There was nothing but trash and maggots along the sliding glass door. I was truly suicidal. I prayed to God for a miracle. The TV started playing this song. I decided to live. I'm not Mr. Manson and I'm not involved in his fan base a lot anymore. But I will never forget this miracle. It's the only one I ever needed. This one song. And to deny it was to break a sacred contract made under false pretenses by God himself. So I took my grief to Lucifer. This is his course correction, not mine. I denied the tourniquet this time because I'm through being healed traditionally or otherwise. I just gave up, give in, and when I can I am myself again. Too strong so I am still as I can be. I choose to be Nothing so This band's legacy can be everything. I'd rather die anonymously if that's what it takes for this man and his work to be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. He deserves the world. Because he saved mine, at the behest of the Christian God. My Goddess Ma'at said it's time for retribution. I am not sick. You all are. I am well. You all aren't. I am working on healing ya'll. Ya'll are on vacation at MY behest. That was Ma'at at the end, not me. So now I can reveal that my temple was perfectly preserved for my true purpose. To ensure this band is never EVER EVER forgotten EVER again. Or attacked. Or law suited. Or anything. He personally saved my life by the frequency of his pain he transmits when he sings. I don't care who knows that. It's a mutation I had to develop because I am totally and permanently disabled and I can't convince the SSA that thats true so I can get my life back together. They let me home from the Meadows recently after telling me it was the last time they could do that for me. Being in a state of double jeopardy is funny, but it's time to heal. Thank you for allowing your music to be available for free. If you want a new manager, assistant, or anything, please let me know. I'm broken as fuck but I will reknit myself whole if that's what it takes to re-envigorate your career. You're too important to us broken things. I wish life were fair so I could send you and her a wedding gift. or we could hang out and you two could bring special old fabrics you love and i can make you both pillows to go home with. or i could teach you how to sew like i do. i need to stop now because i'm embarassed for writing this much here. But it is what it is? Only thing constant in life is change, after all. I hope you're well. I hope your team is too. And I super hope that when you meet me you can help me with several horrifying lawsuits that I cant handle. I wont go into details here. I am trying to be respectful and not too triggering. My love for you, your career, and your fellow musicians is so high it would be impossible to ruin my good opinion of Mr. Manson. I hope when you have children that they love you as much as I have since I handed you that note at the age of 15. We couldn't even hug. But feeling your eyes meet mine healed me in ways I never imagined. I wouldn't have touched you at that point for everything in the world because I was in full frozen mode. Your people ushering me out like that only made it worse. But until that moment, it was Disney and Dr. Seuss and everything I could have ever wanted. I am so grateful for my birthday gift, Mr. Manson. Thank you for arranging it to happen with your team. Winning the Radio Revolution wasn't easy but I did what I could. Your lessons are what keep me going when all else fails. The tattoo I put on my chest I feel guilty for. I often wonder what your opinion of it is. Would you flay it off of my chest if you didn't know who I was? Sometimes I don't know who I am. I am triggered constantly in my mind by things I'd rather forget. But every bit of the english language triggers me. Every key I type, note I sing, and breath I take is an agony for me. Even watching you doesn't help. I've been like this since Mom and Dad decided to booze and weed themselves into me. My father looked a lot like Elvis. My mother was a rip off artist extreme. She hated me because she thought I belonged to Elvis and not my Dad. My Dad had to suffer through my mother's insanity all the time. I'd kill myself before being disloyal or hurtful. That's why I smoke so much. I self correct by smoking cigarettes. Then I turn my tragedy into magic by smoking weed and listening. I'm constantly in a state of meditation, not dissociation. And I have hidden this long because when Jesus came down here from where I came from ya'll ruined his good name and fucked up every word he gave the humans of that time. I think I am evolving my own DNA. Because I was ignored so much. When I get attention I grok life again. So when I need it the most, I always come back here. To this song. Thank you for every single breath I take. Even if it sucks, if I can taste the breath then I can look down at my chest and then look up at the ceiling and keep my chin up like Beautiful Creatures taught me. Thank you for them too. If DJ hadn't of bumped me with that guitar, I'd have probably died on the grass outside the Norva. I was willing my God (The All Father and All Mother are now my guardians) to apparate me away from that awful place. I keep myself on the edge of consciousness all the time. I wonder often what your life is like. But I'd never presume to write you another letter. I'm too stupid in my own rage to ever do that unless it's a comment on youtube. Hypocrites, aren't we all?

Fuck yeah bro!!! He's from palm beach county, Florida. A few cities south of me.when he first debut I wasn't feeling it cuz what everyone was saying about him,but my bf was obsessed wit him,so I got to know what he was singing about! Mother fuckers are punk rock heavy ass shit! Tourniquet, sweet dreams, and long hard road outta hell are my favorite songs, they were and are a one of a kind band and I support Tha fuck outta dem,wish Marilyn Manson, Slipknot,korn,Rob Zombie, Metallica, would say linkin park...RIP Chester! Would all do a tour together yo!! Nothing wrong with being Christian and believing in God, just beware of those that would force their beliefs on you and tell you God doesn't love you cuz you listen to this or that or do whatever. Who the fuck are they? My mother's side is Sicilian Roman Catholic extremist, grandparents had 12 children, forced their ridiculous holier than thou religion on me, then my father forced born again Christianity on me, and although j related more to that he really really forced me to be how he thought I was spose to be in his faith, when I rebelled and studied Buddhism, wiccan ( not black magic lol nature) , I studied metaphysical stuff a lot, books that blew me away, like The Sermon on the Mount by Emmet fox, power of now by Eckhart tolle, the four agreements, Here and Now by Ram dass, Marcus Garvey, Haille Selassie I aka Ras Tafari aka The Conquering Lion! These ppl were talking about love and acceptance, unity, living in the moment, not saying God isn't real, not going against the belief in a higher power, but acknowledging that of course there is a Most High! A creator, a God, a Devil, Angel's demons thats all very real, but I'm not gunna be cast out for relating to Marilyn Manson, KoRn, Mettalica, or whatever, its not fuckin devil music, its meaningful music its motivation! Its a release of pent up anger and emotions, remember they are all just like you Andi mon. The divine dwells within everyone of us, so does evil, which one we choose to allow domain over our minds thoughts actions is our choice alone, today and for like 13 years I have dedicated my life and energy to Rasta Livity and my family literally disowned me when I came out at first, a lot still dont want anything to do with me all cuz they simply have no idea what it means to be Rasta. We spread Love, Unity,Respect, we see no complexion we are not better or holier or have a heiarchy we do not judge we accept and spread positivity, and while its a lil strange I go from roots reggae conscious music to Marilyn Manson heavy fuckin metal but very conscious music as well.it don't matter, my father won't even talk to me cuz I don't believe what he does, does he try to win me over by showing love? Lol fuck no, he just won't even have anything to do with me or my kid or our lives, and he listens to. Christan rock, and I'm sorry kid but u cannot get into it, I need emotions in my music I need shit that motivates me, and if that Christian rock dies that for him then fucking a yo thats awesome, me I need more meat I need heavy bass heavy drums, I need shit that makes me scream! I also listen to protoje ,chronixx, kanaka pyramid, Jesse royal, vybez kartel,, Runkus, Jah9, drew island, Jr.Gong aka GongZillla,skip and Jo mersa Marley, Stephen Marley,Julian Marley, sizzla,collie buddz, and so on cuz they all are spitting Tha truth about the world and the big governments and politicians that do not fucking care about us at all! All this is about the truth kid, sometimes our family can be our worst enemies, not cuz they wanna be, but cuz they are still blind, they can't see past whatdem have been conditioned to believe is the ONLY way, it's hard to watch ppl u love accept control and dominion from those that seek to use us and control the narrative! Fuck that tho man, I believe in God u believe in evil I believe in love yo, and spreading the Truth burning down Babylon system, I am no ones fucking slave, and I know things most dont,and thats hard cuz even my mother,brothers, all if em, dem blind!!!!! Dem refuse to look into the dark and see the truth, they would rather not know,look the other way. Fuck that shit!!!!! Scream at the top of yuh lungs! Let dem know how angry you are!!! Blast Marilyn Manson fucking loud no matter what ppl say or think! You create your own reality man,thats what it means when u hear God made us in his image, not physical form, God dwells within everyone I mean everyone bra! Thats what ive come to know as fact from all ive experienced the dying the loving the pure suffering and abandonment the love and acceptance from total fucking strangers! Ive been treated better by ppl that have lived a hard life and suffered hard than by those wealthy,inexperienced, blind, have it all mfs out there, they just judge and shoo shoo yuh if yuhnah accepted dey ways, Bloodclaat, fuck that be your own person, be real, listen to this kinda music it will save you! Bless up!

I saw him live in Stockholm a bunch of years ago. He was of course high and drunk, the sound was distorted and i he was more screaming than singing. fun fact: the whispering in the beginning of this song is actually manson saying "this is my most vulnerable moment" played backwards
@Qqzzaaau12310 жыл бұрын
no, "sherlock" in his book he clearly states that he's saying "this is my most vulnerable moment" HE wrote about it in HIS book (long hard road out of hell). my information is correct and your comment is obsolete.

I've recently started hyperfixating on Manson because of my boyfriends mom again (I was a fan growing up anyways but yk) and I don't regret a single moment of this hyperfixation. I'm already 7 albums in and honestly I've already cried to this song. I feel like after everything going on, he's honestly misunderstood and gets a lot of bad raps due to the shit he talks about in his music but always remember this, sometimes it's better to separate the art from the artist. So respect to this man for saving so many of us in our darkest times.

Tremendously marvelous statements, dear @Drainollie... You seem feel and know it, too... Please do not forget what you have stated, and keep it close to the Heart... Sometimes one needs some experience to actually realize it, though... Ineffably magnificent Art is out there indeed...

It blows me away that he based it off of some of his dreams. He said that he dreamed about creatures made of his teeth as a child and his dreams carried into his adulthood.
