Was für Songs entstehen, wenn Musiker*innen in einer leeren Fabrikhalle performen und den natürlichen Nachhall in ihre Kompositionen integrieren? Vier unterschiedliche Acts in den Besetzungen SOLO, DUO, TRIO & QUARTETT wurden live in One Take Videos aufgenommen und setzen einer der letzten grossen Spinnereihallen im Raum Winterthur ein klingendes Denkmal, bevor sie nun in kleinere Wohneinheiten umgebaut wird.
Die Idee zum Projekt „SennHall“ entwickelten Philip Harrison und Dani Wirth, als sie ihr Tonstudio temporär in Räumen neben dieser Halle aufbauen mussten. Sie begannen, den rund 10 sekündigen Hall in ihre Produktionen zu integrieren, wünschten sich aber Songs, bei denen dieser voll zum Tragen kommen kann. Im Oktober 2022 konnte „SennHall“ dank der Unterstützung des Kultur Komitee Winterthur und der Genehmigung der Hermann Bühler AG realisiert werden.

What kind of songs are created when musicians perform in an empty factory hall and incorporate the natural reverberation into their compositions? Four different acts in the various formations SOLO, DUO, TRIO & QUARTET were recorded live in one take videos, paying tribute to one of the last large spinning mills in the Winterthur area before it is converted into smaller residential units.
The idea for the "SennHall" project was developed by Philip Harrison and Dani Wirth when they had to temporarily set up their recording studio in rooms next to this hall. They started integrating the approximately 10-second reverb into their productions, but wished for songs where it could fully come into play. In October 2022, "SennHall" was made possible thanks to the support of the Winterthur Cultural Committee and the approval of Hermann Bühler AG.
