We took a standard Marin Alpine Trail XR and upgraded it with a few extra parts to create Tom's Dream Build Mountain Bike, perfect for riding here in the UK. Tom's our Marin Rep and asked me to build this bike for him. It needed to have extra long cables for doing bar spins and have some parts upgraded. Tom wanted one bike to do it all, riding enduro and taking it to the bike park.

Ok, now I feel a little guilty as I saw him practicing those bar spins on the Sunday and I kept riding through to hit the new Quarry Line on the right hand side...ooooops....and damn that Offender looks epic in the flesh too! Great story video this one and after my time in Petaluma anything with Marin makes me smile :-)

Ha i cant understand the lenth on handlebars these days .they are way to big .saw a small girl riding it looked she was measuring a snookertable with her arms than riding abike .theres no response time it like a bus stearing wheel . anyway good vid nice bike

At least the dropper should it be wireless for a good looking wire management , and the front brake hose should be introduced sideways in a top mounted spacer , using a head lock long tread (not star nut) ... i like the design and the color combo of this frame-fork

Hi Janos, glad you liked the color of the bike. We wanted to show the cable use for a dropper, wireless are sooo expensive and we wanted to show you can do this a bit cheaper. If you look at the finished bike we adjusted the cables to make them look neater by using shrink wrap. I bought one of this and two weeks riding im broke one of the shock bolts im so sad i think the quality of the componets was better , the shop owner are trying to give me a solution,the price of this bike its not a cheap bike .

Wow, all those upgrades yet you're sticking with those softer then cheese factory rims. Mine lasted 2 rides and I wasnt hitting anything nearly as gnarly as your rider at the end

Hi southpawlibra, some stock bikes are also someone's dream bike as you can see from some of our other video's. But in this case lots of the ''stock'' parts that came with the bike have been upgraded. The Cranks, Brakes, Chainring, Pedals, Tyres, dropper to name a few, we even made it possible for Tom to do bar spins which involved alteration of the brake hose. So I'm glad you watched the video and hope you enjoyed it but I'm not sure you can call it ''Stock'' Cheers Joe.
