I was a D.I. at MCRD San Diego and cadences like these were heard alot. Mine was not quite this good but I made the privates lean back and give me a full 30. I had a decent cadence. Miss the Corps.

Drilling on the parade deck and listening to the Senior DI sing was honestly the most fun part of bootcamp. Seeing it all come together when plt 1068 won final drill was the most memorable part of my MCRD experience besides finally getting the ega.

@4:50-5:30 gave me chills... im in the army now, but from 2004-2008 i was in the marines. I still listen to, and call Marine Corps cadences while marching in the army. They'll never understand the pride of calling cadence like this. Great cadence MSgt McCants.

Anthony, You have a good ear for a great cadence. The Corps is the only service that calls cadence this way. As a former D.I., way back when ( early 70's ) we found that if you could call a good cadence it would bring the privates to a high peak. Nothing could stop them. I have so much respect for our men and woman in uniform. One of my regrets was not getting into the marines. I had the honor of working with a marine who served in Iraq. He showed me this and I've been listening ever sense. Thank you to all of you who put your life on the line for us!!! +Austin Mullins Only if your vocal chords hold up. If your are thinking about hitting the drill field, be prepared to lose your voice at one point or another. Warm water and honey helped me through, but it was hell on me and I made the privates pay for my inability to do my duty (yelling). Good luck and Semper Fi!!

Yes you are right and the same in Boys in Company C. As Lee Ermey was the cadence caller. Hard to duplicate as each DI has their own style. You have to develop your own style, what comes natural. By osmosis, listening and doing for hundreds of hours while on the drill field. Shafi is just plain good and is a singer also and understands voice.

I recently went to a 10 day encampment to the Marine Corps base at Camp Pendleton " 31 area "(WFTB) 2 weeks ago I don't if you know the name of the program it's Devil Pups. But yeah anyway like you said we'll be disappointed wow you were right. There were DI's there drilling their Rct's & their drill cadence were nothing compare to you Scribe. Honestly I say your the best Drill Instructor ever your cadence are amazing. Also on youtube no DI can be compared to you. I wish i can be just like you.
